Adonoy spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying:

And the Lord spoke to Moshe and Aharon, saying

And the L-rd spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:

When a person will have, in the skin of his flesh a spot of intense whiteness or an off-white spot, or a snow-white spot, and it forms on the skin of his body [like] the plague of tzoraas, he shall be brought to Aharon, the kohein, or to one of his sons, the kohanim.

When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a swelling, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh the plague of żara῾at; then he shall be brought to Aharon the priest, or to one of his sons the priests:

A man, if there be in the skin of his flesh se'eth (a rising) or sapachath or bahereth (a bright spot) [types of plague-spots, one brighter than the other], and it become in the skin of his flesh a plague-spot of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the Cohein or to one of his sons, the Cohanim [(It is a Scriptural decree that only a Cohein rules on the cleanliness or uncleanliness of plague-spots)].

The kohein shall see the plague in the skin of the flesh and [if] the hair in the skin-eruption has turned white and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his body, it is the skin-eruption of tzoraas. The kohein shall see it and declare him [to be] unclean.

and the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague be deeper in appearance than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of żara῾at: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

And the Cohein shall see the plague-spot in the skin of the flesh. If hair [at least two hairs] in the plague-spot had turned [from black to] white, and the appearance of the plague-spot is deeper than the skin of his flesh [(as things in the sun seem deeper than those in the shadow)], it is a plague-spot of leprosy. And the Cohein shall see it and declare him unclean [(He shall say to him: "You are unclean.")]

If it is a snow-white spot in the skin of the flesh and it does not appear deeper than the skin and the hair did not turn white, the kohein shall confine the plague for seven days.

If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and be not deeper in appearance than the skin, and its hair be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that has the plague seven days:

And if it is a white bahereth in the skin of his flesh, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair had not turned white, then the Cohein shall quarantine the plague-spot for seven days, [not to be looked at until the end of the week].

The kohein shall see him on the seventh day and behold! [if] the skin-eruption has maintained its hue; the skin-eruption did not spread in the skin. The kohein shall confine him for seven days, a second time,

and the priest shall look on him on the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:

And the Cohein shall see it on the seventh day; and if the plague-spot appears as it did before [in appearance and size], if the plague-spot did not spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall quarantine it for a second seven days, [but if it spread in the first week, he is a confirmed leper].

The kohein shall see him on the seventh day for the second time and behold! [if] the skin-eruption became dimmer and the skin-eruption did not spread in the skin, the kohein shall declare him [to be] clean; it is [merely] a white discoloration. He shall wash his garments and he will be cleansed.

and the priest shall look on him again on the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dimmer, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

And the Cohein shall see it on the seventh day again; and if the plague-spot is dim, and the plague-spot has not spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall declare him clean [(but if it remained the same or spread, he is unclean)]; it is a mispachath [a type of clean plague-spot], and he shall wash his clothes and be clean [(Since he required quarantine he is called "unclean" and requires immersion.)]

If the white discoloration has spread in the skin after it was shown to the kohein, who pronounced that it was clean, it must be shown a second time to the kohein.

But if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after he has been seen by the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen by the priest again:

And if the mispachath spreads in the skin after he has shown himself to the Cohein for his cleansing, then he shall show himself a second time to the Cohein.

The kohein shall see and behold! [if] the white discoloration has spread in the skin, the kohein shall declare him unclean, it is tzoraas.

and if the priest see that, behold, the scab spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is żara῾at.

And the Cohein shall see: If the mispachath has spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall declare him unclean, [whereupon he is a confirmed leper, requiring birds, shaving, and the offering (see Chapter 14)]. It [this mispachath] is leprosy.

When there is a skin-eruption of tzoraas on a person he shall be brought to the kohein.

When the plague of żara῾at is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest;

A plague-spot of leprosy, if it be in a man, then he shall be brought to the Cohein.

The kohein shall see and behold! there is an intensely white spot on the skin and it has turned the hair white or there is healthy flesh in the spot of intense whiteness,

and the priest shall see him: and, behold, if a white swelling be in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;

And the Cohein shall see, and behold, a white se'eth in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and the healthiness of living flesh within the rising, [part of the whiteness within the se'eth having assumed the appearance of flesh, this, too, is a sign of uncleanliness — white hair (even) without healthy flesh, or healthy flesh (even) without white hair. (Note: Though "healthy flesh" is stated only in reference to se'eth, it is a sign of uncleanliness in all plague-spots.)]

it is an old tzoraas in the skin of his body and the kohein shall declare him unclean he shall not confine him, since he is [obviously] unclean.

it is an old żara῾at in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean.

It is old leprosy in the skin of his flesh [(There is an old wound, full of pus, beneath the healthy flesh, so that the healthy flesh is no reason to declare him clean]. And the Cohein shall declare him unclean; he shall not quarantine him, for he is unclean.

And if the tzoraas sprouts on the skin and if the tzoraas covered the entire skin of the [one affected by] the eruption from his head until his feet to the extent that the kohein can see.

And if the żara῾at breaks out abroad in the skin, and the żara῾at covers all the skin of him that has the plague from his head to his foot, as far as the priest can see;

And if the leprosy blossom in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of the plague-spot, from his head until his feet, to all the sight of the eyes of the Cohein [(to exclude a Cohein whose sight has dimmed)],

The kohein shall see and behold! the tzoraas has covered all of his body, he shall declare the skin-eruption to be cleansed, it has turned completely white, he is clean.

then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the żara῾at have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that has the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean.

And the Cohein shall see, and behold, the leprosy has covered all of his flesh, then he shall declare the plague-spot clean; all of it has turned white — it is clean.

On the day that healthy flesh appears on him, he will become unclean.

But when raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.

And on the day [(There is a "day" when plague-spots are inspected and a "day" when they are not inspected. A groom is given all seven days of his festivity — him, his garments, and his house (not to be inspected). Likewise, one is granted all the days of a festival.)] that there appear in it healthy flesh [(If a limb tip, which could not be rendered unclean by the appearance of healthy flesh (which normally does render a plague-spot unclean) because the entire limb, by virtue of its "slopes" could not be viewed at one time — If such a limb tip broadened and leveled, so that it could be viewed at one time, and healthy flesh appeared in it, then)] he shall be unclean.

The kohein shall see the healthy flesh and declare him unclean. The healthy flesh is unclean, it is tzoraas.

And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce him to be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is żara῾at.

And the Cohein shall see the healthy flesh, and he shall declare him unclean. The healthy flesh is unclean; it is leprosy.

Or, if the healthy flesh turns again and it was changed to white, he shall come to the kohein.

Or if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed to white, he shall come to the priest;

Or if the healthy flesh recede and it return to white, then he shall come to the Cohein.

The kohein shall see him, and behold! the skin-eruption has turned white; the kohein shall declare the skin-eruption to be clean, he is clean.

and the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned white; then the priest shall pronounce him clean that has the plague: he is clean.

And the Cohein shall view it, and, behold, the plague-spot has turned to white, then the Cohein shall declare the plague-spot clean; he is clean.

When a person has on his skin an inflammation that has healed.

The flesh also, the skin of which has on it a pox which is healed,

And flesh, if there be in it, in its skin, a boil [a warming of the flesh due to a wound], and it [the boil] be healed,

If there was on the area of the inflammation a spot of intense whiteness or a snow-white spot tinged with red it shall be shown to the kohein.

and in the place of the pox there be a white swelling, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shown to the priest;

And there be in the place of the boil a white se'eth or a reddish-white bahereth, then it shall be shown to the Cohein.

The kohein shall see it and behold! its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, the kohein shall declare him unclean; It is the skin-eruption of tzoraas that has sprouted through the inflammation.

and if, when the priest sees it, behold, it be in sight deeper than the skin, and the hair of it be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of żara῾at broken out in the pox.

And the Cohein shall see, and, behold, its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the Cohein shall declare him unclean. It is a plague-spot of leprosy; it has blossomed in the boil.

If the kohein looks at it and behold! there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin and it is faint, the kohein shall confine him for seven days.

But if the priest look on it, and behold, there be no white hairs in it, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be somewhat dimmer; then the priest shall shut him up for seven days:

And if the Cohein see it, and, behold, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, then the Cohein shall quarantine him for seven days.

If it spread in the skin, the kohein shall declare him unclean, it is a skin eruption.

and if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague.

And if it spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall declare him unclean; it [the se'eth or the bahereth] is plague.

If the snow-white spot remains in its place and it did not spread, it is [merely] a scar of the inflammation and the kohein shall declare him clean.

But if the bright spot stay in its place, and spread not, it is the scar of the pox; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

And if the bahereth remains in its place — if it has not spread — then it is the scar of the boil, and the Cohein shall declare him clean.

When a person has on his skin a burn from a fire and [on] the healthy flesh of the burnt part, came a snow-white spot tinged with red or pure white spot.

Or if there be any flesh, in the skin of which there is a burn caused by fire, and the raw flesh of the burn have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white;

Or flesh, if there be in its skin a burn by fire, and the healing of the burn were [i.e., turned into] a bahereth, reddish-white or [plain] white [(Note: There is no difference between the (accompanying) signs of a boil and a burn. Scripture treats boil and burn separately by way of indicating that half-minimum sizes of each do not combine to render one unclean.)]

The kohein shall see it and behold! the hair has turned white in the snow-white spot and its appearance is deeper than the skin; it is tzoraas that has sprouted in the burn. The kohein shall declare him unclean, it is the skin-eruption of tzoraas.

then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in appearance deeper than the skin; it is a żara῾at broken out of the burn: and the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of żara῾at.

Then the Cohein shall see it, and, behold, if the hair has turned white in the bahereth, and its appearance is deeper than the skin, it is leprosy; it has blossomed in the burn. And the Cohein shall declare him unclean; it is a plague-spot of leprosy.

If the kohein shall see it, and behold! there is not, in the snow-white spot, any white hair and it is not lower than the skin, and it is faint. The kohein shall confine him for seven days.

But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it is no lower than the other skin, but is somewhat dimmer: then the priest shall shut him up seven days:

And if the Cohein see it, and, behold, there is not in the bahereth a white hair, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, then the Cohein shall quarantine him for seven days.

The kohein shall see him on the seventh day. If it has spread in the skin, the kohein shall declare him unclean, it is the skin-eruption of tzoraas.

and the priest shall look upon him on the seventh day: and if it be spread abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of żara῾at.

And the Cohein shall see him on the seventh day. If it has spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall declare him unclean; it is a plague-spot of leprosy.

If the snow-white spot remains in its place and it did not spread in the skin and it is faint, it is the white spot of the burn. The kohein shall declare him clean for it is [merely] the scar of the burn.

And if the bright spot stay in its place, and spread not in the skin, and it be somewhat dimmer; it is a swelling caused by the burn, and the priest shall pronounce him clean: for it is a scar of the burn.

And if the bahereth remains in its place, not having spread in the skin, and it is dim, then it is the rising of the burn. And the Cohein shall declare him clean, for it is the scar of the burn.

If a man or a woman will have a skin-eruption on the head or in the beard.

If a man or a woman have a plague upon the head or the beard;

And a man or a woman — if there be in him a plague-spot, in the head or in the beard [(Scripture comes to distinguish between a plague-spot in the hair (site) and one in the flesh, the former being characterized by yellow hair and the latter by white)],

The kohein shall see the skin-eruption, and behold! its appearance is deeper than the skin and there is thin golden hair in it. The kohein shall pronounce it unclean, It is a nesek, it is tzoraas of the head or the beard.

then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in appearance deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a patch, a żara῾at of the head or beard.

Then the Cohein shall see the plague-spot; and if its appearance is deeper than the skin and there is in it thin yellow hair, [the black hair in it having turned to yellow], then the Cohein shall declare him unclean. It is a nethek (a scall); it is leprosy of the head or of the beard.

When the kohein will see the skin eruption of nesek—and behold! it does not appear deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it, the kohein shall confine [the one affected by] the skin-eruption of the nesek for seven days.

And if the priest look on the plague of the patch, and, behold, it be not in appearance deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall shut up him that has the plague of the patch seven days:

And if the Cohein see the nethek plague-spot, and, behold, its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the Cohein shall quarantine the nethek plague-spot for seven days [(But if there were black hair, he is clean and quarantine is not required, black hair being a sign of cleanliness in a nethek)].

The kohein shall see the skin-eruption on the seventh day, and behold! the nesek did not spread and there was no golden hair in it and the appearance of the nesek is not deeper than the skin.

and on the seventh day the priest shall look on the plague: and, behold, if the patch spread not, and there be in it no yellow hair, and the patch be not in sight deeper than the skin;

And the Cohein shall see the plague-spot on the seventh day, and, behold, if the nethek has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it [(but if it did spread or there were yellow hair, he is unclean)], and the appearance of the nethek is not deeper than the skin,

He shall be shaved but he shall not shave the nesek, and the kohein shall confine the nesek for a second seven day period.

he shall be shaved, but the patch shall not be shaved; and the priest shall shut up him that has the patch seven days more:

Then he shall be shaved [around the nethek], but the nethek he shall not shave. [(He leaves a border two hairs (thick) roundabout it, so that if it spreads, it will pass that border into the shaven area and be discernible (as having spread)]. And the Cohein shall quarantine the nethek a second seven days.

The kohein shall see the nesek on the seventh day and behold! if the nesek did not spread in the skin and its appearance is not deeper than the skin. The kohein shall declare him clean. He shall wash his garments and he will be clean.

and on the seventh day the priest shall look on the patch: and, behold, if the patch be not spread in the skin, nor be in sight deeper than the skin; then the priest shall pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

And the Cohein shall see the nethek on the seventh day. And, behold, if the nethek has not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, then the Cohein shall declare him clean, and he shall wash his clothes and he shall be clean.

If the nesek spreads [extensively] in the skin after he is pronounced clean,

But if the patch spread much in the skin after his cleansing;

And if the nethek has spread, spread in the skin after his cleaning [("spread, spread"): Not only after his quarantine, but also after the first week or after the second week)],

the kohein shall see him and behold! the nesek has spread in the skin. The kohein shall not [even] look for golden hair, he is unclean.

then the priest shall look on him: and, behold, if the patch be spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.

Then the Cohein shall see him, and, behold, the nethek has spread in the skin, then the Cohein shall not seek out the yellow hair; he is unclean.

If the nesek remained the same as it was and black hair grew in it, the nesek is healed, he is clean, and the kohein shall declare him clean.

But if the patch remain stationary in appearance, and there is black hair grown up in it; the patch is healed, he is clean: and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

And if in his eyes the nethek has remained as it was, and black hair [or hair of any color other than yellow] has sprouted in it, then the nethek has been healed; he is clean. And the Cohein shall declare him clean [(But if the Cohein declared clean one who is unclean, he does not become clean)].

When a man or a woman have in the skin of their flesh—white spots.

If a man also or a woman have in the skin of their flesh bright white spots;

And a man or a woman, if there be in the skin of their flesh white spots,

The kohein shall see, and behold! in the skin of their flesh are dim white spots, it is [merely] scurf that has sprouted in the skin; it is clean.

then the priest shall look: and, behold, if there be darkish white spots in the skin of their flesh; it is a tetter breaking out in the skin; he is clean.

Then the Cohein shall see, and, behold, in the skin of their flesh there are dull white spots, it is a bohak (brightness) that has blossomed in the skin [(like the white that "shines out" between freckles)]; he is clean.

If a mans hair falls out, he is [merely] bald; he is clean.

And the man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet is he clean.

And a man, if the hair of his head [from the slope of his head towards the nape (karachath)] fall out, he is kereach (bald); he is clean [of nethek uncleanliness, (and subject only to flesh uncleanliness)].

If, on the front of his head his hair falls out, he is [merely] frontally bald; he is clean.

And he whose hair is fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald: yet is he clean.

And if from the front of his face [from the slope of his head towards the face, including the temples (gabachath)], his hair fall out, he is gibeach (bald); he is clean.

If there will be, in the baldness in back of the head or in the baldness in front of the head a white skin-eruption, tinged with red, it is tzoraas sprouting in his frontal baldness or in his posterior baldness.

And if there be in the bald head, or bald forehead, a white reddish sore; it is żara῾at sprung up in his bald head, or his bald forehead.

And if there be on the karachath or on the gabachath a reddish-white plague-spot, it is blossoming leprosy on his karachath or on his gabachath.

The kohein shall see him, and behold! the spot of intense whiteness is tinged with red in his frontal baldness or in his posterior baldness just as the appearance tzoraas of the skin of the flesh.

Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the swelling of the plague be white reddish in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, as the appearance of żara῾at in the skin of the flesh;

And the Cohein shall see him, and, behold, a rising of the plague-spot, reddish-white, is in his karachath or in his gabachath, as the appearance of the leprosy of the skin of the flesh, [all the laws of this type of leprosy applying here (as opposed to those of boil leprosy and burn leprosy)],

He is a person with tzoraas, he is unclean. The kohein shall declare him unclean; his skin-eruption is on his head.

he is diseased, he is unclean: the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague is in his head.

He is a leprous man; he is unclean. The Cohein shall declare him unclean, unclean [i.e., all lepers (and not only one with head-related leprosy) is included in what follows (45, etc.)]; in his head is his plague [viz., nethek leprosy].

The tzorua—[the person] who has the skin-eruption—his garments shall have a tear in them, his hair shall be grown long, and he must cover his head down to his upper lip, and Unclean, unclean, shall he call out.

And the diseased man in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and the hair of his head shall grow long, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.

And the leper in whom the plague-spot is found, his clothes shall be rent and his hair shall grow long, and the hair of his lips shall he cover, [like a mourner], and "Unclean! Unclean!" shall he cry, [so that people keep away from him].

All the days in which the skin-eruption is on him he shall be unclean; he is unclean. He shall dwell alone; his dwelling shall be beyond the encampment.

All the days during which the plague shall be in him he shall be unclean; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be.

All the days that the plague-spot is in him he shall be unclean. He is unclean. Solitary shall he sit [Other unclean ones shall not sit with him. Because he, through his slander (for which leprosy is the punishment,) "separated" a husband from his wife and a man from his neighbor, he, too, shall be separated (from his fellow men)]; outside the camp [the three camps] is his dwelling.

When in a garment there is a skin-eruption of tzoraas, whether a woolen garment or in a linen garment.

The garment also in which is the plague of żara῾at, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;

And the garment, if there be in it a plague-spot of leprosy, in a garment of wool or in a garment of linen,

Or if it is the warp [lengthwise] threads, or in the woof [widthwise] threads, in a linen garment, or a woolen garment, or on leather or in any object made of leather.

whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woollen; whether in a skin, or in anything made of skin;

Or in the warp or in the woof, of linen or of wool, or in [unworked] skin or in all worked skin,

If the plague is deep green or deep red, in the garment, or in the leather hide or in the warp threads, or in the woof threads, or if it is in any object made of leather; it is the eruption of tzoraas and it shall be shown to the kohein.

and if the plague be greenish or reddish in the garment or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin; it is a plague of żara῾at, and shall be shown to the priest:

And it shall be, if the plague-spot is deep green or deep red in the garment or in the skin, or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of skin, it is a plague-spot of leprosy, and it shall be shown to the Cohein.

The kohein shall see the plague and confine the eruption, for seven days.

and the priest shall look at the plague, and shut up that which has the plague seven days:

And the Cohein shall see the plague-spot, and he shall quarantine the plague-spot for seven days.

He shall see the eruption on the seventh day. If the eruption has spread in the garment or in the warp thread, or in the woof thread, or in the leather hide, or in the work made of leather, it is a prickly tzoraas, it is unclean.

and he shall look at the plague on the seventh day: if the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a malignant żara῾at; it is unclean.

And he shall see the plague-spot on the seventh day. If the plague-spot has spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, (whatever work the skin is made for), the plague-spot is "pricking" leprosy; it is unclean.

He shall burn the garment, or the warp [lengthwise] threads, or the woof [widthwise] threads, be it in wool or in linen, or in all leather made objects, in which there is the eruption. For it is a prickly tzoraas. It shall be burned in fire.

He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woollen or in linen, or anything of skin, wherein the plague is: for it is a malignant żara῾at; it shall be burnt in the fire.

And he shall burn the garment, or the warp, or the woof, of wool or of linen, or any article of skin in which the plague-spot will be; for it is "pricking" leprosy — it shall be burned in fire.

If the kohein will see, and behold! the eruption did not spread in the garment, or in the warp threads, or in the woof threads, or in any leather made object.

And if the priest shall look, and, behold, the plague be not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin;

And if the Cohein shall see, and, behold, the plague-spot has not spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin,

The kohein shall command that they shall wash the article having the eruption, and confine it for seven days, a second time.

then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days more:

Then the Cohein shall command, and they shall wash what contains the plague-spot [i.e., the plague spot along with some of the surrounding material], and he shall quarantine it a second seven days.

The kohein shall see it after the eruption was washed and behold! [even if] the eruption did not change its hue and the eruption did not spread; it is unclean, you shall burn it in fire. It is a deep mark be it in a worn [garment] or in a new [garment].

And the priest shall look after the plague is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed its colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is a decay on the inner or outer surface.

And the Cohein shall see, after the plague-spot has been washed, and, behold, the plague-spot has not changed its appearance [i.e., it has not dimmed] and the plague-spot has not spread, it is unclean. [(It goes without saying that it is unclean if it did not change its appearance and did spread)]. In fire shall you burn it; it is p'cheteth [a "low-lying" plague-spot] in its oldness or in its newness.

If the kohein saw and behold! the eruption grew faint after it was washed; he shall tear it from the garment, or from the leather, or from the warp threads or from the woof threads.

And if the priest look, and, behold, the plague be somewhat dimmer after the washing of it; then he shall tear it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof:

And if the Cohein saw, and, behold, the plague-spot became dim after it was washed, then he shall tear it [the plague-spot site] from the garment, or from the skin, or from the warp, or from the woof, [and he shall burn it.]

If it will appear again, in the garment or in the warp [lengthwise] threads, or in the woof [widthwise] threads, or in any leather-made object, it is a recurrent outbreak of tzoraas. You shall burn the article having the eruption in fire.

and if it appear still in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin; it is a spreading plague: thou shalt burn that in which the plague is with fire.

And if it be seen again in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin, it is porachath [something whose "blossoming" recurs]. In fire shall you burn it [(the entire garment)], what contains the plague-spot.

The garment, or the warp threads, or the woof threads, or any leather objects that were washed and the eruption disappears from them, it shall be washed a second time and it shall be purified.

And the garment, either warp, or woof, or whatever thing of skin it be, which thou shalt wash, if the plague be departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and shall be clean.

And the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or any article of skin which you shall wash [by directive of the Cohein], and the plague-spot depart [entirely] from them, then it shall be cleansed [i.e., immersed] a second time, and it shall be clean.

This is the law of the eruption of tzoraas be it in a woolen garment, or a linen garment, or in the warp [lengthwise] thread, or in the woof [widthwise] thread, or in any leather-made object, that it be pronounced pure, or that it be pronounced impure.

This is the Tora of the plague of żara῾at in a garment of woollen or linen, either in the warp, or woof, or anything of skins, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.

This is the law of the plague-spot of leprosy, in a garment of wool or linen, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin, to declare it clean or to declare it unclean.
