Adonoy spoke to Moshe, saying;
And the Lord spoke to Moshe, saying,
And the L-rd spoke to Moses, saying:
Speak to Bnei Yisroel and say to them; when a person [orally] expresses a vow pledging valuation of souls, to Adonoy.
Speak to the children of Yisra᾽el, and say to them, If a man make a singular vow, to give to the Lord the estimated value of persons,
Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: A man, if he utter a vow in valuation of lives to the L-rd [i.e., If he says: "I vow to give (to the Temple) the valuation of this and this organ" (on which life depends)],
The valuation for a male shall be, from twenty years of age to sixty years of age your valuation shall be fifty holy silver shekalim.
then the estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even to sixty years old, the estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
Then the (fixed) valuation shall be: For the male, from twenty to sixty years, the valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver in the shekel of the sanctuary.
If it be a female, the valuation shall be thirty shekalim.
And if it be a female, then the estimation shall be thirty shekels.
And if she is female, the valuation shall be thirty shekels.
If from five years of age to twenty years of age the valuation for a male shall be twenty shekalim, and for a female, ten shekalim.
And if it be from five years old to twenty years old, then the estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
And if from five years [(i.e., If an adult said: I vow to give the valuation of this five-year-old)] until twenty years, then the valuation shall be, for a male, twenty shekels, and for a female, ten shekels.
If from one month of age to five years of age the valuation of a male shall be five silver shekalim and the valuation for a female is three silver shekalim.
And if it be from a month old to five years old, then the estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female the estimation shall be three shekels of silver.
And if from one month until five years, then the valuation shall be: for a male, five shekels of silver; and for a female, the valuation, three shekels of silver.
If from sixty and above, if he is a male the valuation shall be fifteen shekalim and for a female, ten shekalim.
And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then the estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
And if from sixty years and above: If a male, then the valuation shall be fifteen shekels; and if a female, ten shekels.
וְאִם־מָ֥ךְ הוּא֙ מֵֽעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ וְהֶֽעֱמִידוֹ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְהֶעֱרִ֥יךְ אֹת֖וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֑ן עַל־פִּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר תַּשִּׂיג֙ יַ֣ד הַנֹּדֵ֔ר יַעֲרִיכֶ֖נּוּ הַכֹּהֵֽן׃{ס}
If he is [too] poor to pay the valuation he shall set him[self] [=he shall be presented] before the kohein, and the kohein will determine his valuation. According to the means of the one who vowed the kohein will determine his valuation.
But if he be too poor for the estimated value, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of him that vowed shall the priest value him.
And if he (the vower) be too poor for the [fixed] valuation, then he [the one to be valuated] shall be stood before the Cohein, and the Cohein shall valuate him. According to the means of the vower shall the Cohein valuate him [and leave enough for subsistence: bed, mattress, pillows, tools, and the like].
If [it is] an animal which can be brought as an offering to Adonoy, any of it that he will give to Adonoy shall become sacred.
And if it be a beast, of which men bring an offering to the Lord, all that any man gives of such to the Lord shall be holy.
And if it be a beast, of which men present an offering to the L-rd, all that he gives of it to the L-rd shall be holy. [If he said: "The foot of this animal for a burnt-offering," he sells it to be offered as a burnt-offering, and the money he receives, excluding the value of that limb, is chullin (non-consecrated)].
He shall not exchange it [with anothers animal] and he shall not change it [with his own animal] whether it be a good one for a worse one [or] a bad one for a better one. If he did exchange one animal for another animal, then both it and its replacement shall be sacred.
He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and its substitute shall be holy.
He shall not exchange it and he shall not substitute for it, good [an unblemished animal] for bad [a blemished animal] or bad for good [(and certainly not good for good or bad for bad)]. And if he substitutes beast for beast, then it and its substitute shall be holy.
If it is any unclean (blemished) animal which cannot be offered to Adonoy, he shall present the animal to the kohein.
And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice to the Lord, then he shall present the beast before the priest:
And if any unclean beast [a blemished beast, which is "unclean" for offering (whence it is seen that unblemished consecrated animals are not redeemable unless they sustain a blemish)], which they may not present of it as an offering to the L-rd, then he shall stand the beast before the Cohein.
The kohein shall determine its value whether it is good or bad as the kohein determines its value for you, so shall it be.
and the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest values it, so shall it be.
And the Cohein shall valuate it, whether good or bad; as the Cohein valuates it, so shall it be [(for others who come to buy it from the Temple)].
If he will indeed redeem it he shall add on one fifth to its valuation.
But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof to the estimation.
And if he [the owner] would redeem it, then he shall add its fifth to the valuation.
If a man will consecrate his house as being sacred to Adonoy, the kohein shall determine its value, whether it is good or bad; as the kohein determines its value, so shall it be established.
And when a man shall sanctify his house to be dedicated to the Lord, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
And if a man consecrate his house, holy to the L-rd, then the Cohein shall valuate it, whether good or bad; as the Cohein shall valuate it, so shall it stand [for others].
If he who consecrated [his house] wishes to redeem his house, he shall add one fifth to its valuation money in addition to [the valuation], and [then] it belongs to him.
And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of the estimation to it, and it shall be his.
And if the consecrator [himself] would redeem his house, then he shall add a fifth of the valuation upon it, and it shall be his.
If from his ancestral field a man will consecrate to Adonoy its valuation shall be according to the measure of its seed; [at the rate of] one chomer of barley seed per fifty silver shekalim.
And if a man shall dedicate to the Lord some part of a field of his possession, then the estimation shall be according to the seed required for it, a ĥomer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
And if from the field of his holding a man shall consecrate to the L-rd, then the valuation shall be according to its sowing; the sowing of a chomer of barley, for fifty silver shekels.
If immediately after the jubilee year he consecrates his field it shall be established according to its vaulation.
If he dedicate his field from the year of jubilee, according to the estimation it shall stand.
If from [i.e., immediately after] the Jubilee year he shall consecrate [and immediately come to redeem] his field, according to the [above] valuation [a chomer of barley for fifty silver shekels] shall it stand.
If after the jubilee he consecrates his field, then the kohein shall calculate the money [due] according to the remaining years until the jubilee year, and its valuation should be reduced accordingly.
But if he dedicate his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain, even to the year of the jubilee, and it shall be abated from the estimation.
And if after the Jubilee year he shall consecrate his field, [and it remain with the Temple treasurer, and he comes to redeem it (some time) after the Jubilee year], the Cohein shall reckon for him the money (to be returned to the Temple) according to the years remaining until the Jubilee year, and it [the (value of the) number of years from the (preceding) Jubilee year until the year of redemption] shall be deducted from the (original total) valuation.
If he will [indeed] redeem the field, he who consecrated it, shall add one fifth to its monetary valuation, and it is then established as his.
And if he that sanctified the field will redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of the estimation to it, and it shall become his property.
And if the consecrator (himself) would redeem the field, then he shall add a fifth of the money of the valuation upon it, and it shall be his.
If he does not redeem the field and if he sells the field to another person, it shall not longer be redeemable.
And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.
And if he [the consecrator] does not redeem the field, and he [the Temple treasurer] sells the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed again [i.e., It does not return to the consecrator (as a field of holding)].
When the field is then released by the jubilee it becomes sacred to Adonoy, just as a field that was consecrated, it shall belong to the kohein, [as] his possession.
But the field, when it goes out in the jubilee, shall be holy to the Lord, as a field devoted; the possession of it shall be the priest’s.
But the field shall be, when it goes out on the Jubilee year [from the one who bought it from the treasurer], holy to the L-rd, as a devoted field. To the Cohein shall be his holding [i.e., to the Cohanim of that watch on which the Yom Kippur of the Jubilee falls out.]
If it is a field that he purchased, that is not his ancestral field, [that] he consecrates to Adonoy.
And if a man dedicate to the Lord a field which he has bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;
And if the field of his acquisition (from another), which is not of the field of his (family) holding, he shall consecrate to the L-rd, [and he comes to redeem it],
The kohein will calculate for him the amount of its valuation until the jubilee year, and on that day he shall give its valuation as something sacred to Adonoy.
then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of the estimation, to the year of the jubilee, and he shall give the estimation in that day, as a holy thing to the Lord.
Then the Cohein shall reckon for him the worth of the valuation until the Jubilee year, and he shall give the valuation on that day, holy to the L-rd.
In the jubilee year the field shall revert to him from whom it was purchased; to him whose ancestral land it is.
In the year of the jubilee the field shall return to him of whom it was bought, to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.
[And if he does not redeem it and the treasurer sells it to another, or if he himself redeemed it, then] in the year of the Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom he [the consecrator] bought it, to the one who has the holding of the land.
All of your valuations shall be in holy shekalim; the shekel shall be twenty geirah.
And all estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gera shall be the shekel.
And all valuations [concerning which it is written "shekalim"] shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerah shall the shekel be. [(Thus they were in the beginning; afterwards they added a sixth.)]
However, a firstling [animal] that is born first shall belong to Adonoy [as a sacrifice] from among the domestic animals; a man shall not consecrate it [for any other purpose] whether it is an ox or a lamb, it belongs to Adonoy.
Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the Lord’s firstling, no man shall dedicate that; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the Lord’s.
But a first-born, which is a firstling to the L-rd among the beasts, a man shall not consecrate it [as a different offering, for it is not his (see Numbers 18:17)]; whether ox or lamb, it is the L-rd's.
If it is of an unclean animal, he shall redeem it based on the valuation, and add a fifth to [that amount]. If it is not redeemed, it shall be sold according to the valuation.
And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to the estimation, and shall add to it a fifth part of it: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to the estimation.
And if (he wishes to redeem) an unclean beast [that he dedicated to bedek habayith (Temple maintenance)], then he shall redeem it according to the valuation [i.e., according to the Cohein's assessment], and he shall add its fifth upon it. And if it is not redeemed [by the owner], then it shall be sold by the valuation [to others].
However, any dedication that a man will dedicate to Adonoy from any of his belongings be it people (slave), or animal, or of the field of his ancestral land, [none of these] can be sold or redeemed. Everything that is dedicated is most holy, unto Adonoy.
Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote to the Lord of all that he has, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord.
[There are two possible readings for this verse, one, (28a) according to those who hold that unspecified devotions (stam charamim) go to the Cohanim; the other, (28b) according to those who hold that they go to hekdesh (Temple maintenance)]
Any dedication that a man will dedcate, regarding a man [due to be put to death] cannot be redeemed, he shall surely be put to death.
None devoted of men, which shall be doomed to death, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
Any cherem that is devoted from a man [i.e., from a man going out to be executed (an observer saying: "I vow to give the valuation of that man")] shall not be redeemed, [for] he is going to be put to death [(and has no valuation)].
All tithings of the land; whether of the seeds [crops] of the land or of the fruit of the tree, belongs to Adonoy, it is sacred to Adonoy.
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy to the Lord.
And all the tithe of the land [second-tithe (ma'aser sheni)], of the seed of the land [i.e., grain], of the fruit of the tree [wine and oil], belong to the L-rd [and He has commanded you (Deuteronomy 14:23) to go up and eat it "from His table" in Jerusalem]; it is holy to the L-rd.
If a man wishes to redeem of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to [the amount].
And if a man will at all redeem of his tithes, he shall add to it the fifth part of it.
And if a man would redeem of his tithe [to permit him to eat it anywhere, (and with the redemption money he buys food in Jerusalem, which he eats there)], then he shall add its fifth upon it [(but if he redeems his neighbor's tithe, he need not add a fifth)].
All tithes of cattle and sheep, anything that passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be sacred to Adonoy.
And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the Lord.
And all the tithe of herd or flock, whatever passes under the staff [(He would strike every tenth animal (passing in a row) with a staff painted red)], the tenth shall be holy to the L-rd [(The blood and eimurin are offered on the altar, and the flesh is eaten by the owner)].
He shall not make a distinction between better or worse [animals] and he shall not exchange it. If he exchanges one for another, then [both] it and its replacement shall be sacred and it cannot be redeemed.
He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and its substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
He shall not discriminate (in tithing) between good [unblemished] or bad [blemished. (Not that he sacrifices a blemished animal, but that he eats it in the status of ma'aser, and it is forbidden to shear it or work it)]; nor shall he substitute (another animal) for it — and if he did substitute for it, then it and its substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

These are the commandments which Adonoy commanded Moshe for Bnei Yisroel on Mount Sinai. Chazak
These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moshe for the children of Yisra᾽el in Mount Sinay. Vayyiqra
These are the mitzvoth which the L-rd charged Moses to (command to) the children of Israel on Mount Sinai.
