וּבַחֹ֨דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֝י בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֨דֶשׁ֙ יִֽהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם כָּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַֽעֲשׂ֑וּ י֥וֹם תְּרוּעָ֖ה יִֽהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם: וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶ֨ם עֹלָ֝ה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹ֨חַ֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה פַּ֧ר בֶּן־בָּקָ֛ר אֶחָ֖ד אַ֣יִל אֶחָ֑ד כְּבָשִׂ֧ים בְּנֵֽי־שָׁנָ֛ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה תְּמִימִֽם: וּמִ֨נְחָתָ֔ם סֹ֖לֶת בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן שְׁלשָׁה עֶשְׂרֹנִים֙ לַפָּ֔ר שְׁנֵ֥י עֶשְׂרֹנִ֖ים לָאָֽיִל: וְעִשָּׂר֣וֹן אֶחָ֔ד לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ הָֽאֶחָ֑ד לְשִׁבְעַ֖ת הַכְּבָשִֽׂים: וּשְׂעִֽיר־עִזִּ֥ים אֶחָ֖ד חַטָּ֑את לְכַפֵּ֖ר עֲלֵיכֶֽם: מִלְּבַד֩ עֹלַ֨ת הַחֹ֝דֶשׁ וּמִנְחָתָ֗הּ וְעֹלַת הַתָּמִיד֙ וּמִנְחָתָ֔הּ וְנִסְכֵּיהֶ֖ם כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑ם לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַֽיהֹוָֽה:
On the seventh month, the first day of the month shall be for you a day of holy assembly, and all work of labor you shall not do; a day of sounding the shofar it shall be for you. And you shall prepare a burnt-offering for a pleasing savor to Adonoy; one young bullock, one ram, seven male yearling lambs without blemish. And their meal-offering of fine flour mixed with oil; three tenths [of an epha] for the bullock, two tenths for the ram. And one tenth for each lamb, for the seven lambs. And one he-goat for a sin-offering; to make atonement for you. These are in addition to the burnt-offering of Rosh Chodesh and its meal- offering, and their [wine] libations as prescribed; [all these will be for] a pleasing savor, a burnt-offering to Adonoy.
וְזֹאת הַתּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר שָׂם משֶׁה
This is the Torah which Moshe placed
לִפְנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל
before the children of Yisrael.
עַל פִּי יְהֹוָה בְּיַד משֶׁה:
at Adonoy’s command by the hand of Moshe.
עֵץ חַיִּים הִיא
It is a tree of life
לַמַּחֲזִיקִים בָּהּ
to those who grasp to it,
וְתוֹמְכֶֽיהָ מְאֻשָּׁר:
and those who support it are fortunate.
דְּרָכֶֽיהָ דַּרְכֵי נֹֽעַם
Its ways are ways of pleasantness,
וְכָל נְתִיבוֹתֶֽיהָ שָׁלוֹם:
and all its paths are peace.
אֹֽרֶךְ יָמִים בִּימִינָהּ
Long life is at its right,
בִּשְׂמֹאלָהּ עֽשֶׁר וְכָבוֹד:
at its left, riches and honor.
יְהֹוָה חָפֵץ
Adonoy desired,
לְמַֽעַן צִדְקוֹ
for the sake of His righteousness,
יַגְדִּיל תּוֹרָה
to make the Torah great
וְיַאְדִּיר:
and to glorify it.
