וכן בכל מקום שבא לשון יחיד על רבים או לשון רבים על יחיד – דייקו בו ודרשוהו.
And moreover, any place where singular language comes on a plural noun or plural language comes on a singular noun, the sages are precise and apply homiletical interpretations.
כמו שדרשו על מה שכתוב "אל בני אהרון וקמץ". (ויקרא ס' קב)
As they give homiletical interpretations when it is written אל בני אהרון וקמץ (And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons)³⁷⁴.
