וכשפעל אחד מסופר משני פועלים או פעולים זכר ונקבה – כשהאחד עיקר – יבוא במין ומספר השם שהוא עיקר, אף שהוא נקבה. כמו "ותכתב אסתר המלכה ומרדכי", "ותשר דבורה וברק". ולרוב בא בלשון זכר על שהזכרים הם העיקר לרוב. (אחרי ס' קיד, אמור ס' קעד)
And whenever one verb pertains to two subjects or direct objects, masculine and feminine – when one is the primary - the gender of the verb will be of the same gender as that of the primary noun, even if it is feminine. Like ותכתב אסתר המלכה ומרדכי (Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote down)⁴⁰⁶ and ותשר דבורה וברק (Then sang Deborah and Barak)⁴⁰⁷. And it usually comes in masculine gender, because males are usually the primary.
In the two verses of the Scripture quoted, the verb is feminine, since the primary subject is female, in accordance with Rule 176.
footnotes: ⁴⁰⁶ Esther 9:29. ⁴⁰⁷ Judges 5:1.
