עצם הטומאה שאינו מקבל טהרה יזכיר תמיד בשמו ולא יסמיך לו תואר או שם 'טומאה' [כמו "מי הנדה, שכבת זרע, ותהי נדתה עליו, כי יגע באדם"]. וכשנסמך לו שם טומאה [כמו "בטומאת אדם"] – הוא הנטמא ממת, או יש בו איזה מיעוט (ויקרא ס' שד, צו ס' קלג)
Something that is in and of itself unclean, which can never acquire cleanness, will always be mentioned by name and will never be in construct state with the adjective or the noun טומאה (unclean) (as with מי הנדה - water of sprinkling, שכבת זרע – flow of seed, ותהי נדתה עליו - and her impurity be upon him, כי יגע באדם). And when the noun טומאה is in construct state (like בטומאת אדם) – it will be uncleanness of a dead body or there will be in it a certain restriction.
