ויש הבדל בין דיבר אתו ובין דיבר עמו. ש"דיבר אתו" אחד מתחיל והוא העיקר, ו"דיבר עמו" המדובר משיב ומנצח. כמ"ש במ"ד על "בדברי עמך" (ויקרא סימן ג). ועל פי ההבדל בין 'אתו' ובין 'עמו' (לקמן סימן תקעט).

And there is a difference between דיבר אתו and דיבר עמו (speak with him): Withדיבר אתו, one begins and he is the primary, while with דיבר עמו, the one who is secondary responds and the primary acknowledges his answer, as is written with בדברי עמך (when I speak with you)⁶³⁴.
