היציאה (exit) is always beyond a barrier, or in one way or another a logical barrier, or that which exits from one’s body to outside.
וכשיאמר "ויצא אל פתח הבית" נפרש תחת המשקוף. אבל כשאמר "ויצא מן הבית" פירושו שיצא לגמרי (מצורע סימן צ)

And when it says ויצא אל פתח הבית (go out to the door of the house)⁶⁷⁸, it means under the doorpost. But when it says ויצא מן הבית (go out of the house)⁶⁷⁹, it means that he exited completely.
