The verb הפך (reverse) is only used with respect to a change - a change in place and situation, character and quality. And we find it both as an intransitive verb and a transitive verb. And when it is an intransitive verb, it means that it acts on itself, that it reverses itself. And it only comes on an entity that has free-will.
