ויש הבדל בין "על דם האשם" ובין "על מקום דם האשם". ש"על מקום" היינו מקום שהיה בו תחלה אף שאיננו עתה (מצורע ס' נד). ויקרא "על מקום" עד שלא היה שם רק שמוכן להיות שם. (מצורע ס' נד, ותזריע סימן ק)

And there is a difference between על דם האשם (upon the blood of the guilt-offering)⁷⁰⁹ and על מקום דם האשם (upon the place of the blood of the guilt offering)⁷¹⁰: על מקום (upon the place) is the place where it first was, even if it is not now. And it was called על מקום only when it was ready to be there but not before then.
