וכל מקום שאמר "זאת תורת" מכניס דברים רבים תחת תורה כללית וחק כללי, ורצונו לומר שהוא לימוד כללי, לא פרטי.
And in any place where it says זאת תורת (this Teaching), it will introduce many things under a general teaching or a general statute, and it means to say that it is teaching generalities, not particulars.
והיינו דכולל דינים והלכות רבות בתוכו,
- That is, it will include many judgements and laws within it.
או שדין זה נוהג בדברים רבים,
- Or that a particular judgement is applicable to many things.
או יכוין על שני אלה; שהיא כללי מצד כמותו ומצד הקיפו.
- Or both of these.
וחז"ל בארוהו ופירשוהו תמיד בדרך זה (צו סימן ג, וסימן ד, וסימן כד, וסימן נה, וסימן עח, וסימן פה, וסימן צה, וסימן קסא. שמיני ס' קעא. תזריע ס' לא, וסימן קפ. מצורע סימן ב, וסימן ג, וסימן ד, וסימן עג, וסימן קצז)
And the sages of blessed memory will always clarify and explain it in this way.
