Had God not provided all our needs in the wilderness…: This is a reference to the statement, “Your clothing did not wear out upon you.”²⁵² Because the cloud of glory wrapped itself around them, their clothes did not wear out during the forty years in the wilderness. Also the clothing grew and changed to fit them, and it was naturally cleaned by the cloud of glory so that it never smelled of sweat or dirt.
