קנא לאשתו ונסתרה והיא מעוברת או מניקה משקין אותה ואין ממתינין לה עד שתלד או עד שתשלים זמן הנקתה שאם טהורה היא אין בזה חשש ואם טמאה היא אין עבורה בזו יותר מדיני נפשות שהיוצאה ליהרג אין ממתינין לה אלא אם כן ישבה על המשבר ואם מיניקת היא ינתן למיניקה:
If one warned one's wife and she is pregnant or nursing, we make/let her drink and we do not wait for her until she gives birth or completes her time of nursing, because if she is pure (i.e. not guilty of adultery) there is no concern, and if she she is impure (i.e. guilty of ipurity) her fetus is no more (important than in the) capital case, where the woman who is taken out to be executed we do not wait for her (to give birth) unless she already sat on the birthing stool nor if she is nursing is she allowed to nurse.
אע"פ שבנשואי עבירה ביארנו שאינה שותה בנשואין הפגומין מיהא הואיל ואין עבירה בנשואיהם שותה ואין אומרין נוח לנו שלא תיבדק אלא שתאסר כדי שלא ימשך הפגם מעתה אשת ממזר לממזר או אשת נתין לנתין אף ע"פ שהזרע נתין או ממזר תבדק וכן אף ישראלית הנשואה לגר ולעבד משוחרר תבדק ואע"פ שכתוב בפרשה דבר אל בני ישראל והיה ראוי לדרוש ישראל ולא גרים כשחזר וכתב ואמרת אליהם ריבה וכן גיורת ומשוחררת לישראל או גיורת לגר ומשוחררת למשוחרר או גיורת למשוחרר או משוחררת לגר:
