אילו נתן לנו את ממונ' ולא קרע לנו את הים דיינו להודיע לנו שהוא אדון הכל וכל אשר הוא חפץ הוא עושה בשמי' ממעל ועל הארץ מתחת ונוטל מזה ונותן לזה והכל בצדק. אבל רצה ג"כ לקרוע לנו את הים להראותנו שם כבוד מלכותו כמ"ש ראתה שפחה על הים וכו':
אלו נתן לנו את־ממונם ולא קרע לנו את־הים, דיינו. “If God had given us their money but had not split the Sea for us, it would have been enough for us,” to make known to us that God is all powerful and whatever God wants, God can do in heavens or on earth. God can take from one and give to another; all according to justice. But God desired to split the sea for us to show us the glory of His kingdom, as it is stated, “The maid servant saw more at the sea than (Ezekiel and the prophets saw)....”
