This work of heaven was completed on the fourth day [Wednesday], the goodly gift (Gen. 30:20) [= 13th] of Av the Merciful, [in the year] May [God] greatly restrain [le-hashiv = 347 (i.e., 5347, or 1587 in the civil calendar)] His anger and establish the Palace upon its rightful place.²⁴
