Adonoy spoke to Moshe saying.

בְּיוֹמָא יַרְחָא קַדְמָאָה בְּחַד לְיַרְחָא תְּקִים יָת מַשְׁכְּנָא מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:

“On the first day of the first month, you should set up the mishkon of the Tent of Meeting.

וּתְשַׁוִּי תַמָּן יָת אֲרוֹנָא דְסַהֲדוּתָא וְתַטֵּל עַל אֲרוֹנָא יָת פָּרֻכְתָּא:

Place the ark of Testimony there, and spread [cover] the paroches (partition) over the ark.

וְתָעֵל יָת פָּתוֹרָא וְתַסְדַּר יָת סִדְרֵיהּ וְתָעֵל יָת מְנַרְתָּא וְתַדְלֵק יָת בּוֹצִינָהָא:

Bring in the table and set it in order. Bring in the menorah and light its lamps.

וְתִתֵּן יָת מַדְבְּחָא דְדַהֲבָא לִקְטֹרֶת בּוּסְמַיָּא קֳדָם אֲרוֹנָא דְסַהֲדוּתָא וּתְשַׁוִּי יָת פְּרָסָא דְתַרְעָא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא:

Place the golden altar for burning incense [of spices], before the ark of Testimony. Place the screen at the mishkon’s entrance.

וְתִתֵּן יָת מַדְבְּחָא דַעֲלָתָא קֳדָם תְּרַע מַשְׁכְּנָא מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:

Place the burnt-offering altar in front of the entrance of the mishkon of the Tent of Meeting.

וְתִתֵּן יָת כִּיּוֹרָא בֵּין מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּבֵין מַדְבְּחָא וְתִתֵּן תַּמָּן מַיָּא:

Place the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water into it.

וּתְשַׁוֵּי יָת דַּרְתָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר וְתִתֵּן יָת פְּרָסָא דִּתְרַע דַּרְתָּא:

Put up the enclosure all around, and set up the screen for the enclosure’s entrance.

וְתִסַּב יָת מִשְׁחָא דִרְבוּתָא וּתְרַבֵּי יָת מַשְׁכְּנָא וְיָת כָּל דִּי בֵיהּ וּתְקַדֵּשׁ יָתֵיהּ וְיָת כָּל מָנוֹהִי וִיהֵי קוּדְשָׁא:

Take the anointing oil, and anoint the mishkon and everything in it. Sanctify it and all its vessels so that it will become holy.

וּתְרַבֵּי יָת מַדְבְּחָא דַעֲלָתָא וְיָת כָּל מָנוֹהִי וּתְקַדֵּשׁ יָת מַדְבְּחָא וִיהֵי מַדְבְּחָא קֹדֶשׁ קוּדְשִׁין:

Anoint the burnt-offering altar and all its vessels. Sanctify the altar so that the altar becomes holy of holies.

וּתְרַבֵּי יָת כִּיּוֹרָא וְיָת בְּסִיסֵיהּ וּתְקַדֵּשׁ יָתֵיהּ:

Anoint the laver and its base and sanctify it.

וּתְקָרֵב יָת אַהֲרֹן וְיָת בְּנוֹהִי לִתְרַע מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וְתַסְחֵי יָתְהוֹן בְּמַיָּא:

Bring Aharon and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, and immerse them in a mikveh.

וְתַלְבֵּשׁ יָת אַהֲרֹן יָת לְבוּשֵׁי קוּדְשָׁא וּתְרַבֵּי יָתֵיהּ וּתְקַדֵּשׁ יָתֵיהּ וִישַׁמֵּשׁ קֳדָמָי:

Clothe Aharon with the sacred garments. Anoint him and sanctify him so that he may serve as a kohein to [before] Me.

וְיָת בְּנוֹהִי תְּקָרֵב וְתַלְבֵּשׁ יָתְהוֹן כִּתּוּנִין:

Bring his sons and clothe them with undershirts.

וּתְרַבֵּי יָתְהוֹן כְּמָא דִי רַבֵּיתָא יָת אֲבוּהוֹן וִישַׁמְּשׁוּן קֳדָמָי וּתְהֵי לְמֵהֶוֵי לְהוֹן רְבוּתְהוֹן לְכַהֲנוּת עָלָם לְדָרֵיהוֹן:

Anoint them as you anointed their father, so that they may serve as kohanim to [before] Me. This should be done so that their anointing will make them an eternal kehunah throughout their generations.”

וַעֲבַד משֶׁה כְּכֹל דִּי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָתֵיהּ כֵּן עֲבָד:

Moshe did according to all that Adonoy commanded him—so he did.

וַהֲוָה בְּיַרְחָא קַדְמָאָה בְּשַׁתָּא תִנְיֵתָא בְּחַד לְיַרְחָא אִתָּקַם מַשְׁכְּנָא:

It was in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the mishkon was set up.

וַאֲקֵם משֶׁה יָת מַשְׁכְּנָא וִיהַב יָת סַמְּכוֹהִי וְשַׁוִּי יָת דַּפּוֹהִי וִיהַב יָת עַבְרוֹהִי וַאֲקֵם יָת עַמּוּדוֹהִי:

Moshe set up the mishkon, placed its sockets, put up its boards, put in its bars, and set up its pillars.

וּפְרַס יָת פְּרָסָא עַל מַשְׁכְּנָא וְשַׁוִּי יָת חוֹפָאָה דְמַשְׁכְּנָא עֲלוֹהִי מִלְּעֵלָּא כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He spread the tent over the mishkon and placed the tent’s covering above it, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וּנְסִיב וִיהַב יָת סַהֲדוּתָא לַאֲרוֹנָא וְשַׁוִּי יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא עַל אֲרוֹנָא וִיהַב יָת כַּפֻּרְתָּא עַל אֲרוֹנָא מִלְעֵלָּא:

He took the Testimony and placed it into the ark, put the poles on the ark, and put the cover on top of the ark.

וְאָעֵל יָת אֲרוֹנָא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא וְשַׁוִּי יָת פָּרֻכְתָּא דִפְרָסָא וְאַטֵּל עַל אֲרוֹנָא דְסַהֲדוּתָא כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He brought the ark into the mishkon and fastened the paroches (partition)-screen so that it covered the ark of Testimony, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וִיהַב יָת פָּתוֹרָא בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא עַל צִדָּא דְמַשְׁכְּנָא צִפּוּנָא מִבָּרָא לְפָרֻכְתָּא:

He placed the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the mishkon, outside the paroches (partition).

וְסַדַּר עֲלוֹהִי סִדּוּר דִּלְחֵם קֳדָם יְיָ כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He set upon it an arrangement of bread before Adonoy, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וְשַׁוִּי יָת מְנַרְתָּא בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא לָקֳבֵל פָּתוֹרָא עַל צִדָּא דְמַשְׁכְּנָא לְדָרוֹמָא:

He placed the Menorah in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the mishkon.

וְאַדְלֵק בּוֹצִינָהָא קֳדָם יְיָ כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He lit the lamps before Adonoy, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וְשַׁוִּי יָת מַדְבְּחָא דְדַהֲבָא בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא קֳדָם פָּרֻכְתָּא:

He placed the golden altar inside the Tent of Meeting, in front of the paroches.

וְאַקְטַר עֲלוֹהִי קְטֹרֶת בּוּסְמִין כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He burned the incense of spices upon it, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וְשַׁוִּי יָת פְּרָסָא דְתַרְעָא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא:

He set up the screen at the mishkon’s entrance.

וְיָת מַדְבְּחָא דַעֲלָתָא שַׁוִּי בִּתְרַע מַשְׁכְּנָא מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וְאַסֵּק עֲלוֹהִי יָת עֲלָתָא וְיָת מִנְחָתָא כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

He placed the burnt-offering altar at the entrance of the mishkon of the Tent of Meeting. He sacrificed on it a burnt-offering and a meal-offering, just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וְשַׁוִּי יָת כִּיוֹרָא בֵּין מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּבֵין מַדְבְּחָא וִיהַב תַּמָּן מַיָּא לְקִדּוּשׁ:

He set the laver between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water into it for washing [sanctification].

וִיקַדְּשׁוּן מִנֵּיהּ משֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וּבְנוֹהִי יָת יְדֵיהוֹן וְיָת רַגְלֵיהוֹן:

Moshe, Aharon and his sons washed [would sanctify] their hands and feet from it,

בְּמֵעַלְהוֹן לְמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּבְמִקְרָבְהוֹן לְמַדְבְּחָא יְקַדְּשׁוּן כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה:

when they came to the Tent of Meeting and when they approached the altar they would wash [sanctify themselves], just as Adonoy commanded Moshe.

וַאֲקֵם יָת דַּרְתָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר לְמַשְׁכְּנָא וּלְמַדְבְּחָא וִיהַב יָת פְּרָסָא דִּתְרַע דַּרְתָּא וְשֵׁיצֵי משֶׁה יָת עִבִידָא:

He set up the enclosure around the mishkon and the altar, and put up the screen at the enclosure’s entrance, and thus Moshe completed the work.

וַחֲפָא עֲנָנָא יָת מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וִיקָרָא דַיְיָ אִתְמְלִי יָת מַשְׁכְּנָא:

The cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of Adonoy filled the mishkon.

וְלָא יָכִיל משֶׁה לְמֵעַל לְמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא אֲרֵי שְׁרָא עֲלוֹהִי עֲנָנָא וִיקָרָא דַיְיָ אִתְמְלִי יָת מַשְׁכְּנָא:

Moshe was unable to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud rested on it, and the glory of Adonoy filled the mishkon.

וּבְאִסְתַּלָּקוּת עֲנָנָא מֵעִלָּוֵי מַשְׁכְּנָא נָטְלִין בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכֹל מַטְּלָנֵיהוֹן:

When the cloud rose up from over the mishkon, the B’nei Yisrael would set out in all their travels.

וְאִם לָא יִסְתַּלַּק עֲנָנָא וְלָא נָטְלִין עַד יוֹמָא דְּאִסְתַּלָּקוּתֵיהּ:

If the cloud did not rise, they would not set out until the day that it rose.

אֲרֵי עֲנָנָא יְקָרָא דַיְיָ עַל מַשְׁכְּנָא בִּימָמָא וְחֵיזוּ אֶשָּׁתָא הֲוֵי בְלֵילְיָא בֵּיהּ לְעֵינֵי כָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכֹל מַטְּלָנֵיהוֹן:

For the cloud of [the Glory of] Adonoy was upon the mishkon by day, and there was a [vision of] fire in it by night, before the eyes of the entire Beis Yisrael, in all their travels.
