Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous: praise is comely for the upright.

Sing, you righteous, in the L rd; praise [of the L rd] is becoming in the just.

Praise the Lord with a lyre: make melody to him with the harp of ten strings.

Praise the L rd with the lyre; with ten-tuned harp, sing to Him.

Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with loud jubilations.

Sing to Him a new song; enhance playing with shouting.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his work is done in faithfulness.

For just is the word of the L rd and all of His work is in faith.

He loves righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

He loves righteousness and justice; the lovingkindness of the L rd fills the earth.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

By the word of the L rd the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth, all of their hosts.

He gathers the waters of the sea together like a rampart: he lays up the depths in storehouses.

He gathers in a heap the waters of the sea; He places the depths in stores [beneath the earth].

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

All the earth will fear the L rd; all the dwellers of the world will hold Him in dread.

For he spoke, and it was; he commanded, and it stood fast.

For He spoke — and it was; He commanded — and it arose.

The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nought: he makes the devices of the peoples to be of no effect.

The L rd voids the counsel of the nations; He annuls the thoughts of the peoples.

The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

The counsel of the L rd shall ever endure; the thoughts of His heart for all generations.

Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

Happy is the people whose G d is the L rd, the people He chose as an inheritance for Himself.

The Lord looks down from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.

The L rd looks from the heavens and sees all the sons of men.

From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth;

From the abode of His dwelling He scans all the dwellers of the earth.

he who fashions their hearts alike; who considers all their deeds.

He created their hearts as one — He probes all of their deeds.

There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

The king is not helped by greatness of host, nor the hero saved by greatness of strength.

A horse is a vain thing for safety: nor shall he save by his great strength.

False is the horse for saving, and he shall not escape through the greatness of his host.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear him, upon those who hope in his steadfast love:

The eye of the L rd is to those who fear Him, to those who hope in His lovingkindness.

to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

To save their souls from death and to sustain them in hunger.

Our soul waited for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

Our souls hope to the L rd; He is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

For in Him shall our hearts rejoice; for in His holy name did we trust.

Let Thy steadfast love, O Lord be upon us, even as we hope in Thee.

Let Your lovingkindness be upon us, O L rd, as we have hoped in You.
