when the Zifim came and said to Sha᾽ul, Does not David hide himself with us?
When the Ziphim came and said to Saul: "Is not David hiding among us?"
Save me, O God, by Thy name, and judge me by Thy strength.
O G d, with Your name help me, and with Your strength avenge me.
Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
O G d, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth.
For strangers are risen up against me, and violent men seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Sela.)
For strangers have risen against me; tyrants have sought my soul. They have never set [(fear of)] G d before them.
Behold, God is my helper: the Lord is the sustainer of my soul.
But G d is my help; the L rd is with the sustainers of my soul.
He rewards evil to my enemies: O, cut them off in Thy truth.
He will return the [very] evil [plotted against me] to those who eye me. Cut them off in Your truth, [(having said that You would exact retribution of the tale-bearers and the pursuers of blood)].
I will sacrifice a free will offering to Thee: I will praise Thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
In willingness shall I sacrifice to You. I shall praise Your name, O L rd, for it is good.
כִּ֣י מִכׇּל־צָ֭רָה הִצִּילָ֑נִי וּ֝בְאֹיְבַ֗י רָאֲתָ֥ה עֵינִֽי׃{פ}
For he has delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye has gazed upon my enemies.
For He has rescued me from every ill, and my eyes have seen [the undoing of] my foes.
