Let a man always flee from miracles,¹ firstly, perhaps the miracle will not occur, moreover, if it does occur they deduct from his merits.² Greater is the merit of a handsome man who overwhelms his evil inclination more so than one who is not handsome, because he (the latter) is not acceptable to women.
