He who changes time honored customs ¹ such as hymns and poetical insertions that all are accustomed to recite such as “God is unchanging” the poetical insert of the Kalir² which is the custom to recite, but he recited other poetical selections, he transgresses the injunctions “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set” (Prov. 22:28) and “Thou shalt not remove thy neighbors landmark, which they of old time have set” (Deut. 19:14).
