מעשה באשה אחת שהיתה טוה בע"ש ולא היתה עוסקת בצרכי שבת כראוי ומתה ראה אחד בחלום שהיו שורפים עיניה וידיה בנעורת של פשתן שאל למה דינה בכך השיבו לו מפני שהיתה עוסקת בע"ש בפשתן ולא היתה עוסקת בצרכי שבת:
It happened with a certain woman who weaved on the Sabbath Eve and did not occupy herself with the needs of the Sabbath as was proper. She died. Thereafter, someone saw in a dream that they were burning her eyes and hands in hatcheled flax. He asked why her judgement was such. They answered him, because she occupied herself on the Sabbath Eve with linen and not with the needs of the Sabbath.¹ ed. Shrifgisser, Part IV, Chapter CDV, p. 103.
