A person who observes Shabbat is like a son who apologizes to his father and is given everything he wants. Such a person can also decree and the Holy One will give him what he wants. In addition, the reward he enjoys for his good deeds is drawn against his earnings, whereas the principal remains intact for him to enjoy in the World to Come.
