שַׁעֲרֵי שָׁמַיִם
Gates of heaven,
בְּלוּלֵי אֵשׁ וּמַיִם.
which are compounded of fire and water,
שְׁלשׁ מֵאוֹת וְתִשְׁעִים
numbering three hundred and ninety,
כְּמִנְיַן שָׁמַיִם.
[which is] the number of the letters in the word שָׁמַיִם;¹

הִפָּתְחוּ לְחִנּוּן יְפַת פַּעֲמַיִם.
open to the supplication of Israel,
וְתַעַל תְּפִלָּתָם

to the Almighty in the heavens.
שַׁעֲרֵי רָקִיעַ
Gates of the firmament
בּוֹ מְאוֹרוֹת הִתְקִיעַ.
in which the luminaries² are fixed,

וּמִמֶּנּוּ זוֹרְחִים
from where they shine
בִּמְקוֹמָם לְהַשְׁקִיעַ.
and where they set;
הִפָּתְחוּ לְחִנּוּן

of those for whom He divided the [Reed] Sea,
וְתַעַל תְּפִלָּתָם
and let their prayers go up
פְּנֵי מַעֲבִיב רָקִיעַ:
to Him Who wraps the firmament in clouds.
שַׁעֲרֵי זְבוּל
Gates of the heavenly Palace
שֶׁבּוֹ מִזְבֵּחַ סָבוּל.
wherein stands the Altar of the heavenly Temple,³

וְהַשַּׂר מַקְטִיר עָלָיו
upon which [Michael] the Prince offers incense,
כִּמְכַהֵן בְּכַרְבּוּל.
as did the High Priest wearing his mitre;

open to the supplication
נִדְחָקִים בְּחִבּוּל.
of those who are painfully oppressed,
וְתַעַל תְּפִלָּתָם
and let their prayer go up to Him
פְּנֵי יָשַׁב לַמַּבּוּל:
Who sat enthroned even at the flood.⁴

מִפְתְּחֵי חַלּוֹן.
through the opening of the aperture;
הִפָּתְחוּ לְחִנּוּן
open to the supplication
מַצַּבְתָּהּ כָּאַלּוֹן.
of those who are firm as an oak⁶

וְתַעַל תְּפִלָּתָם
and let their prayers go up
פְּנֵי דָר רוּם וִילוֹן:
to Him Who resides in the heights of Vilon.
שַׁעֲרֵי שְׁחָקִים

שֶׁבּוֹ רֵחַיִם שׁוֹחֲקִים.
wherein there is a mill
עוֹמְדוֹת וְטוֹחֲנוֹת,
which continually grinds
מָן לַצַּדִּיקִים.
preparing Mannah for the righteous;⁷

זְרוּיִּים בְּמֶרְחַקִּים.
of those who are scattered afar⁸

to hear to the prayers of the treasured people;
הִפָּתְחוּ לְחִנּוּן
open to the supplication
לִמְרָרִים לִלְּעוֹן.
of those whose lives are bitter as wormwood,
וְתַעַל תְּפִלָּתָם
and let their prayers go up
פְּנֵי דָר רוּם מָעוֹן:
to Him Who resides in the heights of Maon.

wherein are found the plentitude of blessings,
וְגִנְזֵי צְדָקָה וָחֶסֶד

בְּנֵי שְׁלֹשֶׁת אָבוֹת.
of the children of the three Patriarchs,

פְּנֵי רוֹכֵב עֲרָבוֹת:
to Him Who rides on thick clouds.
מַכְנִיסֵי רַחֲמִים. הַכְנִיסוּ רַחֲמֵינוּ, לִפְנֵי בַּעַל־הָרַחֲמִים. מַשְׁמִיעֵי תְפִלָּה. הַשְׁמִיעוּ תְפִלָּתֵנוּ, לִפְנֵי שׁוֹמֵעַ תְּפִלָּה: מַשְׁמִיעֵי צְעָקָה. הַשְׁמִיעוּ צַעֲקָתֵנוּ, לִפְנֵי שׁוֹמֵעַ צְעָקָה: מַכְנִיסֵי דִּמְעָה. הַכְנִיסוּ דִמְעוֹתֵינוּ, לִפְנֵי מֶלֶךְ מִתְרַצֶּה בִּדְמָעוֹת: הִשְׁתַּדְּלוּ וְהַרְבּוּ תְחִנָּה וּבַקָּשָׁה, לִפְנֵי מֶלֶךְ אֵל רָם וְנִשָּׂא: הַזְכִּירוּ לְפָנָיו הַשְׁמִיעוּ לְפָנָיו, תּוֹרָה וּמַעֲשִׂים־טוֹבִים שֶׁל שׁוֹכְנֵי־עָפָר: יִזְכֹּר אַהֲבָתָם, וִיחַיֶּה זַרְעָם שֶׁלֹּא תֹאבַד שְׁאֵרִית־יַעֲקֹב: כִּי־צֹאן רוֹעֶה־נֶאֱמָן הָיָה לְחֶרְפָּה, יִשְׂרָאֵל גּוֹי־אֶחָד לְמָשָׁל וְלִשְׁנִינָה: מַהֵר עֲנֵנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ, וּפְדֵנוּ מִכָּל־גְּזֵרוֹת קָשׁוֹת, וְהוֹשִׁיעָה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים, מְשִׁיחַ צִדְקָךְ וְעַמָּךְ:
מָרָן דְּבִשְׁמַיָא לָךְ מִתְחַנֵּנָן, כְּבַר שִׁבְיָא דְמִתְחַנֵּן לִשְׁבוּיֵהּ: כֻּלְּהוֹן בְּנֵי־שִׁבְיָא בְּכַסְפָּא מִתְפָּרְקִין, וְעַמָּךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרַחֲמֵי וּבְתַחֲנוּנֵי: הַב־לָן שְׁאֶלְתִּין וּבָעוּתִין, דְלָא־נֶהֱדַר רֵיקָם מִן־קָדָמָךְ:
מָרָן דְבִשְׁמַיָא לָךְ מִתְחַנֵּנָן, כְּעַבְדָּא דְּמִתְחַנֵּן לְמָרֵיהּ: עֲשִׁיקֵי אֲנַן וּבַחֲשׁוֹכָא שָׁרִינָן. מְרִירָן נַפְשִׁין מֵעַקְתִין דִּנְפִישִׁין: חֵילָא לֵית־בָּן לְרַצוּיָךְ. מָרָן. עֲבִיד בְּדִיל קַיָּמָא דִגְזַרְתְּ עִם־אֲבְהָתָנָא:
שׁוֹמֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמוֹר שְׁאֵרִית יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאַל יֹאבַד יִשְׂרָאֵל הָאֹמְרִים שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל:
שׁוֹמֵר גּוֹי אֶחָד שְׁמוֹר שְׁאֵרִית עַם אֶחָד וְאַל יֹאבַד גּוֹי אֶחָד הַמְיַחֲדִים שִׁמְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֺהֵֽינוּ יְהֹוָה אֶחָד:
שׁוֹמֵר גּוֹי קָדוֹשׁ שְׁמוֹר שְׁאֵרִית עַם קָדוֹשׁ וְאַל יֹאבַד גּוֹי קָדוֹשׁ הַמְשַׁלְּשִׁים בְּשָׁלשׁ קְדֻשּׁוֹת לְקָדוֹשׁ:
מִתְרַצֶּה בְּרַחֲמִים וּמִתְפַּיֵּס בְּתַחֲנוּנִים הִתְרַצֶּה וְהִתְפַּיֵּס לְדוֹר עָנִי כִּי אֵין עוֹזֵר:
אָבִֽינוּ מַלְכֵּֽנוּ חָנֵּֽנוּ וַעֲנֵֽנוּ כִּי אֵין בָּֽנוּ מַעֲשִׂים עֲשֵׂה עִמָּֽנוּ צְדָקָה וָחֶֽסֶד וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנוּ:
וַאֲנַֽחְנוּ לֺא נֵדַע מַה נַּעֲשֶׂה כִּי עָלֶֽיךָ עֵינֵֽינוּ: זְכֹר רַחֲמֶֽיךָ יְהֹוָה וַחֲסָדֶֽיךָ כִּי מֵעוֹלָם הֵֽמָּה: יְהִי חַסְדְּ֒ךָ יְהֹוָה עָלֵֽינוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר יִחַֽלְנוּ לָךְ: אַל תִּזְכָּר לָֽנוּ עֲוֹנוֹת רִאשׁוֹנִים מַהֵר יְקַדְּמֽוּנוּ רַחֲמֶֽיךָ כִּי דַלּֽוֹנוּ מְאֹד: חָנֵּֽנוּ יְהֹוָה חָנֵּֽנוּ כִּי־רַב שָׂבַֽעְנוּ בוּז: בְּרֺֽגֶז רַחֵם תִּזְכּוֹר: כִּי הוּא יָדַע יִצְרֵֽנוּ זָכוּר כִּי עָפָר אֲנָֽחְנוּ: עָזְרֵֽנוּ אֱלֺהֵי יִשְׁעֵֽנוּ עַל־דְּבַר כְּבוֹד־שְׁמֶֽךָ וְהַצִּילֵֽנוּ וְכַפֵּר עַל־חַטֹּאתֵֽינוּ לְמַֽעַן שְׁמֶֽךָ:
הש"ץ אומר קדיש שלם עם תתקבל
יִתְגַּדַּל וְיִתְקַדַּשׁ שְׁמֵהּ רַבָּא בְּעָלְמָא דִּי בְרָא כִרְעוּתֵהּ וְיַמְלִיךְ מַלְכוּתֵהּ בְּחַיֵּיכוֹן וּבְיוֹמֵיכוֹן וּבְחַיֵּי דְכָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל. בַּעֲגָלָא וּבִזְמַן קָרִיב וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:
יְהֵא שְׁמֵהּ רַבָּא מְבָרַךְ לְעָלַם וּלְעָלְמֵי עָלְמַיָּא: יִתְבָּרַךְ וְיִשְׁתַּבַּח וְיִתְפָּאַר וְיִתְרוֹמַם וְיִתְנַשֵּׂא וְיִתְהַדָּר וְיִתְעַלֶּה וְיִתְהַלָּל שְׁמֵהּ דְקֻדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְעֵֽלָּא מִן כָּל בִּרְכָתָא וְשִׁירָתָא. תֻּשְׁבְּחָתָא וְנֶחֱמָתָא. דַּאֲמִירָן בְּעָלְמָא וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:
תִּתְקַבֵּל צְלוֹתְהוֹן וּבָעוּתְהוֹן דְּכָל (בֵּית) יִשְׂרָאֵל קֳדָם אֲבוּהוֹן דִּי בִשְׁמַיָּא וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:
יְהֵא שְׁלָמָא רַבָּא מִן שְׁמַיָּא וְחַיִּים עָלֵֽינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן:
