Freedom He will proclaim

for man and woman.

and preserve you

like the apple of the eye.

Pleasant will be your name,

it will not cease.

Rest and be tranquil on the Sabbath day.

Seek My resting place, and My sanctuary,⁴⁶

Plant a branch within my vineyard,⁴⁷

consider the cry of my people.

Trample the wine-press within Botzrah

and also Babylon which grew powerful.

Destroy my adversaries with anger and rage,

hear my voice on the day I call.

God, cause the wilderness to blossom

with myrtle, acacia, cypress and elm⁴⁸

to those who encourage Sabbath observance

and to those who preserve the Sabbath—

give them [abundant] peace

as the waters of a flowing river.

Crush those who stand up against me

Almighty of vengeance,

[smite them] with melting hearts and grief.

May we open our mouth wide

and let it be filled [with praise]

our tongue will sing joyous songs to You.

Cause your soul to know the Torah

and it will be a crown on your head.

Preserve the commandments

of your holy One,

preserve the Sabbath of your holiness.
