Sabbath is the day for Adonoy

Great jubilation with my joyous songs,

Also add many of my delicacies;

to preserve it like Adonoy's command.

It is forbidden to travel on the road⁴⁹

eat and drink while praising God,

Proclaim the pleasures of the Sabbath,

Then you will be granted pleasure by Adonoy.

Eat rich foods and delicacies,

and tasty foods of many varieties,

soft-shelled nuts and pomegranates,

eat and be filled

and bless Adonoy.

To prepare for the table delightful breads,

to make for this day, three meals;

the glorious Name

to bless and thank,

be diligent and preserve [the Sabbath]

and do it my son!
