After God continued to multiply the miracles by splitting the sea and bringing them through on dry ground even though they carried away the idols of the Egyptians, as it is said, “A hemmed-in forced shall pass over the sea – this is a reference to the idol of Micah. Therefore they were not worthy of passing through the sea**. “If he caused us to pass through the sea on dry ground but not caused our enemies to drown in it,”**it would have been enough of a miracle for us.
