וּבְאֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל הָיָה עוֹסֵק בְּתוֹרָה וּתְפִלָּה, וּבְכָל יוֹם כָּתַב בְּעַצְמוֹ תּוֹרָתוֹ.
While in the Holy Land, the Rebbe was constantly involved with Torah and prayer. Every day, he would write down what he perceived in the Torah.
וְהָיָה מִתְפָּאֵר מְאֹד וְאָמַר: שֶׁהַחִלּוּק בֵּין תּוֹרַת חוּץ־לָאָרֶץ לְתוֹרַת אֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּרְחוֹק מִזְרָח מִמַּעֲרָב.
When the Rebbe spoke about this, he said, “The difference between the understanding of the Torah in the Holy Land and elsewhere is like the difference between east and west.”
וּבְכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם הָלְכוּ אֵלָיו הַגְּדוֹלִים עִם הַקְּטַנִּים לְשַׁמְּשׁוֹ כְּדֵי לִשְׁמֹעַ חָכְמַת תּוֹרָתוֹ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וְהַנּוֹרָאָה מְאֹד מְאֹד.
Every day, people came to him, great and small alike, to serve him and thereby hear his awesome holy words of wisdom.
