אָמַר לְאֶחָד: שֶׁמִּי שֶׁאֵינוֹ לָהוּט וְנִבְהָל לְהוֹן, וְאֵינֶנּוּ נוֹשֵׂא וְנוֹתֵן יוֹתֵר מִכְּפִי מָמוֹנוֹ שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ, רַק עוֹשֶׂה מַשָּׂא וּמַתָּן בֶּאֱמוּנָה בְּמָמוֹנוֹ לְבַד וְאֵינוֹ לוֹוֶה מֵאֲחֵרִים לַעֲשׂוֹת מַשָּׂא וּמַתָּן גָּדוֹל, זֶהוּ מְקַיֵּם (דְּבָרִים ו): "וּבְכָל מְאֹדֶךָ".
The Rebbe once said, “A person who is not trapped by his money and does not trade beyond his means fulfils ‘You shall love the Lord your God … with all your might’ (Deuteronomy 6:5 He engages in honest business using his own money.”
גַּם אָמַר לְאֶחָד: שֶׁכְּשֶׁנּוֹתְנִין חֹמֶשׁ לִצְדָקָה מִמָּמוֹנוֹ הוּא מְקַיֵּם "וּבְכָל מְאֹדֶךָ".
The Rebbe also said that this commandment is fulfilled by one who gives a fifth of his income to charity.
