בִּשְׁעַת הַתְּפִלָּה, צְרִיכִין לְקַשֵּׁר עַצְמוֹ לְהַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁבַּדּוֹר. כַּמּוּבָא בְּסִימָן ב' וּבְסִימָן ט' בְּ"לִקּוּטֵי מוֹהֲרַ"ן" חֵלֶק רִאשׁוֹן וּבִשְׁאָר מְקוֹמוֹת.

In Likutey Moharan it is brought that one must bind himself to the tzaddikim of his generation (Likutey Moharan I, 2:6, 9:4).

עַל כֵּן הִזְהִיר לַאֲנָשָׁיו שֶׁיֹּאמְרוּ קֹדֶם הַתְּפִלָּה: הֲרֵינִי מְקַשֵּׁר עַצְמִי לְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁבְּדוֹרֵנוּ.

The Rebbe told his followers that before they began praying, they should say, “I am binding myself to all the tzaddikim of our generation.”
