כְּשֶׁלּוֹמְדִין מִלֵּי דְּפוּרְעָנוּתָא (כְּגוֹן כְּשֶׁלּוֹמְדִין הִלְכוֹת אֲבֵלוּת וְכַיּוֹצֵא) אֵין לְעַיֵּן שָׁם הַרְבֵּה. כִּי אֵין צְרִיכִין לְהַעֲמִיק הַמַּחֲשָׁבָה בִּמְקוֹמוֹת כָּאֵלּוּ. כִּי הַמַּחֲשָׁבָה יֵשׁ לָהּ תֹּקֶף גָּדוֹל (כַּמְבֹאָר בִּמְקוֹמוֹת אֲחֵרִים) וְעַל־כֵּן צְרִיכִין לַעֲבֹר בִּמְהִירוּת מְקוֹמוֹת כָּאֵלּוּ.
When studying subjects dealing with tragedy, such as the laws of mourning, do not delve too deeply. One should not probe too deeply into these matters, for thoughts have great power.¹⁵I, 193; ibid., II, 53. See “His Wisdom” #46, #62.
