לְמַעַנְךָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ הוֹשַׁע נָא: לְמַעַנְךָ בּוֹרְאֵנוּ הוֹשַׁע נָא:
For Your sake, our God, save us; for Your sake, our Creator, please save!
לְמַעַנְךָ גּוֹאֲלֵנוּ הוֹשַׁע נָא: לְמַעַנְךָ דּוֹרְשֵׁנוּ הוֹשַׁע נָא:
For Your sake, our Redeemer, save us; for Your sake, our Seeker, please save!
אֵֽל לְמֽוֹשָׁעֽוֹת.
'God of salvations':
בְּאַרְבַּֽע שְׁבוּעֽוֹת.
With four oaths,
גָּשִֽׁים בְּשַׁוְעֽוֹת.
they approach with prayers,
דּֽוֹפְקֵי עֶֽרֶך שׁוּעֽוֹת נ"א שְעות.
knock with the arrangement of prayers,
הוֹגֵֽי שַֽׁעֲשֻׁעֽוֹת.
meditate upon the enjoyments (the Torah)
וְחִֽידוֹתָֽם מִשְׁתַּעְשְׁעֽוֹת.
and enjoy their riddles;
זֽוֹעֲקִֽים לְהַשְׁעֽוֹת.
they yell out for salvations,
חוֹכֵֽי יְשׁוּעֽוֹת.
those that await salvations
טְפוּלִֽים בָּֽךְ שְׁעֽוֹת.
with You in their prayers,
יֽוֹדְעֵי בִֽין שָׁעֽוֹת.
knowing the understanding of the hours,
כּֽוֹרְעֶֽיךָ בְּשַׁוְעֽוֹת.
bending down in their prayers
לְהָבִֽין שְׁמוּעֽוֹת.
to understand the traditions
מִפִּֽיךָ נִשְׁמָעֽוֹת.
that were heard from Your mouth
נוֹתֵֽן תְּשׁוּעֽוֹת.
- Giver of salvations -
סְפוּרֽוֹת מַשְׁמָעֽוֹת.
recounters of heard things,
עֵדֽוּת מַשְׁמִיעֽוֹת.
the ones that give over [the] testimony
פּוֹעֵֽל יְשׁוּעֽוֹת.
- Doer of salvations,
צַדִּֽיק נֽוֹשָׁעֽוֹת.
Righteous One of salvation -
קִרְיַֽת נ"א קרב תְּשׁוּעֽוֹת.
the town (a different version: in the midst:) of salvation,
רֶֽגֶשׁ תְּשׁוּאֽות.
[with] emotional cheers
שָׁלֹֽש שָׁעֽוֹת. הושע נא:
[in] three hours, please save!
תָּחִֽיש לִתְשׁוּעֽוֹת. הושע נא:
Be quick for salvations, please save!
אֲנִי וָהוֹ הוֹשִׁיעָה נָא:
Ani Vaho, please bring salvation!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ אֵלִֽים בְּלֽוּד עִמָּֽךְ. בְּצֵֽאתְךָֽ לְיֵֽשַׁע עַמָּֽךְ. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the great ones from Lood (the son of Mitzrayim, Egypt's namesake) with You, when You went out to save Your people, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ גּֽוֹי וֵֽאלֹהִֽים. דְּרוּשִֽׁים לְיֵֽשַׁע אֱלֹהִֽים. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved 'a nation and its leaders' needing the salvation of God, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ הֲמֽוֹן צִבְאֽוֹת. וְעִמָּֽם מַלְאֲכֵֽי צְבָאֽוֹת. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved many legions and, with them, hosts of angels, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ זַכִּֽים מִבֵּֽית עֲבָדִֽים. חַנּֽוּן בְּיָדָֽם מַֽעֲבִידִֽים. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the pure ones from a house of bondage, [when] they subjugated the Compassionate One with their hands, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ טְבוּעִֽים בְּצֽוּל גְּזָרִֽים. יְקָֽרְךָֽ עִמָּֽם מַֽעֲבִירִֽים. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the drowning ones in the depths of the shreds, [when] they were transporting Your glory with them, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ כַּנָּֽה מְשׁוֹרֶֽרֶת וַיּֽוֹשַׁע. לְגוֹחָֽהּ מְצֻיֶּֽנֶת וַיִּוָּֽשַׁע. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the base, singing (Exodus 13:40), "and He saved," [when] the One bursting out was indicated as saved, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ מַֽאֲמַֽר וְהֽוֹצֵאתִֽי אֶתְכֶֽם. נָקֽוּב וְהֽוּצֵאתִֽי אִתְּכֶֽם. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved [with] the statement (Exodus 6:6), "and I will take you (etchem)," [but] it is designated, 'and I will go out with you (itchem),' so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ סֽוֹבְבֵֽי מִזְבֵּֽחַ. עֽוֹמְסֵֽי עֲרָבָֽה לְהַקִּֽיף מִזְבֵּֽחַ. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the ones that went around the altar, loaded with the willow to circle the altar, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ פִּלְאֵֽי אָרֽוֹן כְּהֻפְשַֽׁע. צִעֵֽר פְּלֶֽשֶׁת בַּֽחֲרֽוֹן אַֽף וְנוֹשַֽׁע. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the wonders of the ark when it was sullied, He distraught Philistia with burning anger and it was saved, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ קְהִלּֽוֹת בָּבֶֽלָה שִׁלַּֽחְתָּ. רַחֽוּם לְמַֽעֲנָֽם שֻׁלַּֽחְתָּ. כֵּן הוֹשַׁע נָא:
Like You saved the congregations You sent to Babylonia, Merciful One, You [too] were sent for their sake, so too please save!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ שְׁבֽוּת שִׁבְטֵֽי יַֽעֲקֹֽב. תָּשֽׁוּב וְתָשִֽׁיב שְׁבֽוּת אָֽהֳלֵֽי יַֽעֲקֹֽב. וְהוֹשִֽׁיעָה נָּֽא:
You saved the return of the tribes of Jacob - return and bring back the return of the tents of Jacob and, so too, please bring salvation!
כְּהוֹשַֽׁעְתָּ שֽׁוֹמְרֵֽי מִצְוֹֽת וְחוֹכֵֽי יְשׁוּעֽוֹת. אֵֽל לְמֽוֹשָׁעֽוֹת וְהוֹשִֽׁיעָה נָּֽא:
Like You saved the keepers of the commandments and those awaiting salvations - You are the God for the saved - so, so too please bring salvation!
אֲנִי וָהוֹ הוֹשִׁיעָה נָא:
Ani Vaho, please bring salvation!
הוֹשִׁיעָה אֶת עַמֶּךָ וּבָרֵךְ אֶת נַחֲלָתֶךָ וּרְעֵם וְנַשְּׂאֵם עַד הָעוֹלָם: וְיִהְיוּ דְּבָרַי אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר הִתְחַנַּנְתִּי לִפְנֵי יְיָ קְרוֹבִים אֶל יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה לַעֲשׂוֹת מִשְׁפַּט עַבְדּוֹ וּמִשְׁפַּט עַמּוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל דְּבַר יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ: לְמַעַן דַּעַת כָּל עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ כִּי יְיָ הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים אֵין עוֹד:
Deliver and bless Your people; tend them and sustain them forever (Psalms 28:9). And may these words of mine, which I have offered in supplication before the Lord, be close to the Lord our God day and night, that He may provide for His servant and for His people Israel, according to each day’s needs. In order that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord alone is God, there is no other (I Kings 8:59-60).
