ויאמר לגחזי חגור מתניך וגו': ובארוה, שנסתלק ממנו מעשה הנס, שלא היה כדאי לזה. חי ה' וחי נפשך אם אעזבך. שואל, למה הפצירה בו כל כך שילך בעצמו כיון שגחזי היה הולך. ומשיב, אלא היא ידעה דרכיו של אותו רשע גחזי, שאינו כדאי שיהיה נעשה נס על ידו.
And she said to Gehazi, "Gird up your loins, etc." And they explained that the miracle departed from him, since he was not worthy of it. "As surely as the Lord lives and as surely as you live, if I let you go." Question: Why did she insist so much that he go himself, since Gehazi was going?
