And it is learned that Abraham our father at that time was fifty-two years old Despite it being written in Genesis 12:4 that "Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran," there were two departures. In the Covenant Between the Parts, he was seventy, and already in the Land of Israel. He then returned to Haran and remained there for five years, as recorded in Seder Olam (chronological work) and I have elaborated on this in Shabbat 10a.
