וגבהות אפי' במחשבה קטנה כל גבהות חמור מאד וכל פני' הוא מצד גבהות וכל מחשבה הוא שיעור קומה שלימה ופוגם מאד למעלה ודוחק רגלי השכינה בגבהותו כמ"ש תועבת ד' כל גבה לב.

Pride, even the slightest thought of it, is a very grave matter, for all selfish motives stem from pride. Since every thought is a complete stature, prideful thoughts cause great blemish Above, and through one’s pride he pushes away the manifestation of the Divine Presence-Shechinah. This is as stated,¹⁶⁹ “Whoever is prideful is detestable to HaShem.”
