בָּרְ֒כִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהֹוָה,
My soul, bless Adonoy,
יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי גָּדַֽלְתָּ מְאֹד,
Adonoy, my God, You are greatly exalted.
הוֹד וְהָדָר
With beauty and splendor
לָבָֽשְׁתָּ:
are You clothed
עֹֽטֶה־אוֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָה,
enwrapped in light, garment-like;
נוֹטֶה שָׁמַֽיִם כַּיְרִיעָה:
You spread out the heavens like a curtain.¹

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה
Blessed are You, Adonoy
אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם
our God, King of the Universe,
אֲשֶׁר קִדְּ֒שָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו
Who sanctified us with(His commandments
וְצִוָּנוּ
and commanded us
לְהִתְעַטֵּף בַּצִּיצִית:
to enwrap ourselves with tzitzis.
מַה יָּקָר חַסְדְּ֒ךָ אֱלֹהִים
How precious is Your kindness, God;
וּבְ֒נֵי אָדָם
the children of men
בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶֽיךָ יֶחֱסָֽיוּן:
take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
יִרְוְיֻן
They will be filled
מִדֶּֽשֶׁן בֵּיתֶֽךָ
from the abundance of Your House,
וְנַֽחַל עֲדָנֶֽיךָ
and from the stream of Your delights
תַשְׁקֵם:
You will give them to drink.
כִּי־עִמְּ֒ךָ מְקוֹר חַיִּים,
For with You is the source of life,
בְּאוֹרְ֒ךָ נִרְאֶה־אוֹר:
in Your light shall we see light.
מְשֹׁךְ חַסְדְּ֒ךָ
Extend Your kindness
לְיֹדְ֒עֶֽיךָ
to those who know You,
וְצִדְקָתְ֒ךָ
and Your righteousness
לְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב:
to the upright in heart.²
