Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
וָאֹמַ֗ר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּ֖י מָה־אֵ֑לֶּה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י אֵ֤לֶּה הַקְּרָנוֹת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר זֵר֣וּ אֶת־יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וִירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃{פ}
And I said to the angel that talked with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Yehuda, Yisra᾽el, and Yerushalayim.
And the Lord showed me four craftsmen.
וָאֹמַ֕ר מָ֛ה אֵ֥לֶּה בָאִ֖ים לַֽעֲשׂ֑וֹת וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לֵאמֹ֗ר אֵ֣לֶּה הַקְּרָנ֞וֹת אֲשֶׁר־זֵ֣רוּ אֶת־יְהוּדָ֗ה כְּפִי־אִישׁ֙ לֹא־נָשָׂ֣א רֹאשׁ֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ אֵ֙לֶּה֙ לְהַחֲרִ֣יד אֹתָ֔ם לְיַדּ֞וֹת אֶת־קַרְנ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֗ם הַנֹּשְׂאִ֥ים קֶ֛רֶן אֶל־אֶ֥רֶץ יְהוּדָ֖ה לְזָרוֹתָֽהּ׃{ס}
Then said I, What are they coming to do? And he spoke, saying, Those were the horns which scattered Yehuda, so that no man could lift up his head: but these are come to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn over the land of Yehuda to scatter it.
I lifted up my eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Then I said, Where dost thou go? And he said to me, To measure Yerushalayim, to see what is the breadth of it, and what is the length of it.
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him,
and he said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Yerushalayim shall be inhabited like unwalled towns because of the multitude of men and cattle that shall be in it:
וַאֲנִ֤י אֶֽהְיֶה־לָּהּ֙ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה ח֥וֹמַת אֵ֖שׁ סָבִ֑יב וּלְכָב֖וֹד אֶהְיֶ֥ה בְתוֹכָֽהּ׃{פ}
for I, says the Lord, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Ho, ho, flee then from the land of the north, says the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, says the Lord.
ה֥וֹי צִיּ֖וֹן הִמָּלְטִ֑י יוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת בַּת־בָּבֶֽל׃{פ}
Escape, O Żiyyon, that dwellest with the daughter of Bavel.
For thus says the Lord of hosts – (because of his honour he sent me to the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye) –
כִּ֠י הִנְנִ֨י מֵנִ֤יף אֶת־יָדִי֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָי֥וּ שָׁלָ֖ל לְעַבְדֵיהֶ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּֽי־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃{ס}
For behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those who served them. And you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Żiyyon: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, says the Lord.
And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord on that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to thee.
And the Lord shall inherit Yehuda as his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Yerushalayim again.
הַ֥ס כׇּל־בָּשָׂ֖ר מִפְּנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּ֥י נֵע֖וֹר מִמְּע֥וֹן קׇדְשֽׁוֹ׃{פ}
Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord: for he has roused himself out of his holy habitation.
