אָמַר רִבִּי אַבָּא, מָה רַבּוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְיָ', כַּמָה סַגִּיאִין אִינּוּן עוֹבָדוֹהִי דְּמַלְכָּא קַדִּישָׁא, וְכֻלְּהוּ, סְתִימִין בְּחָכְמָה, הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב כֻּלָּם בְּחָכְמָה עָשִׂיתָ. כֻּלְּהוּ בְּחָכְמָה כְּלִילָן, וְלָא נָפְקֵי לְבַר אֶלָּא בִּשְׁבִילִין יְדִיעָן, לְגַבֵּי בִּינָה. וּמִתַּמָּן, אִתְעָבִידוּ כֹּלָּא וְאִתְתְּקָנוּ, הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, (משלי כ״ד:ג׳) וּבִתְבוּנָה יִתְכּוֹנָן. וְעַל דָּא כֻּלָּם בְּחָכְמָה עָשִׂיתָ, בְּבִינָה.
R. Abba said: ‘They were all secreted in Wisdom, and they did not issue into being save by certain paths alongside of Understanding (Binah), whence they become firmly established.
מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ, הָאָרֶץ: דָּא כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, דְּמִתַּמָּן אִתְמַלְּיָא מִכֹּלָּא, כְּמָה דְאַתְּ אָמֵר (קהלת א׳:ז׳) כָּל הַנְּחָלִים הוֹלְכִים אֶל הַיָּם וְגוֹ'. קִנְיָנֶיךָ. דְּהִיא אַפִּיקַת לוֹן לְבָתַר, הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, (בראשית ב׳:ד׳) אֵלֶּה תוֹלְדוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ בְּהִבָּרְאָם, בְּה' בְּרָאָם. בְּגִינֵי כַּךְ מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ קִנְיָנֶיךָ.
The earth is filled' (Ps. 104:24) - the earth: this is the Congregation of Israel, that we learn it is filled with all [of creation], as you say: 'all rivers flow to the sea, etc" (Eccl. 1:7). 'Your acquirings' (Ps. 104:24) - this is the rivulets that come after, since it is written "these are the generations of heaven and earth as they were created / hibar'am" (Genesis 2:4), were created with a hey [hey bar'am, the hey is small in scrolls on this verse]. In this way, 'the earth is filled with Your acquirings.'
