The קָרְבָּנוֹת offered on the בָּמוֹת were (Maimonidean) concessions to popular superstitions
OTOH the קָרְבָּנוֹת offered in the בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ were sublime in nature and were (Nachmanidean) constituent-elements in the metaphysical universe
