בָּרִיכִי נַפְשִׁי יַת שְׁמָא דַייָ יְיָ אֱלָהִי אִתְגַדַלְתָּא לַחֲדָא שְׁבָחָא וְשִׁבְהוֹרָא אַלְבִּישְׁתָּא:
Bless, O my soul,the name ofthe LORD. O LORD my God, you are greatly exalted; you have put on praise and splendor.
דְמִתְעַטֵף נְהוֹרָא הֵיךְ סְדִינָא דִמְתַּח שְׁמַיָא הֵיךְ יְרִיעֲתָּא:
Who wraps himself in light like a sheet, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
דְטָלֵל בְּמַיָא הֵיךְ בִּנְיָנָא דְכָשׁוּרֵי אַכְסַדְרוֹי דְשַׁוֵי עֲנָנִין אַרְתִיכֵיהּ עַל עֲנָנִין קְלִילִין הֵיךְ כַּנְפֵי נִשְׁרָא:
Who covers his chambers with waterlike a building with beams;who placed his chariot, as it were,upon swift clouds; who goes on the wings ofan eagle.
דַעֲבַד אִזְגַדוֹ סַרְהוֹבִין הֵיךְ רוּחָא שַׁמָשׁוֹי תַּקִיפִין הֵיךְ אֶשָׁא מְצַלְהֲבָא:
Who made his messengersas swift aswind; his servants,as strong asburning fire.
דִי מְיַסַד אַרְעָא עֲלַוֵי בְּסִיסָהּ דְלָא תָזוּעַ לְעַלְמֵי עָלְמִין:
Who lays the foundation of the earth upon its base, so that it will not shake for ages upon ages.
תְהוֹמָא כַּד בִּלְבוּשָׁא חֲפִיתָהּ וּמְבַזְעִין עַל טוּרַיָא וְקָיְמִין מַיָא:
You have covered over the abyss as with a garment; and the watersspliton the mountains,andendure.
מִן מְזוֹפִיתָךְ יַעַרְקוּן לְמִגַד מִן קָל אַכְלָיוּתָךְ יִתְבַּהֲלוּן לְמִשְׁפָּךְ:
**At your rebuke, they will flee,**flowing down;**at the sound of your shout, they will be frightened,**pouring themselves out.
יְסַלְקוּן מִן תְּהוֹמָא לְטוּרַיָא וְנָחֲתִין בְּבִקְעֲתָא לַאֲתַר דְנָן דִיסַדְתָּא לְהוֹן:
They will go upfrom the abyssto the mountains,anddescend to the valleys, to this placethatyou founded for them.
תְּחוּם שַׁוֵיתָא לְגַלְלֵי יַמָא דִי לָא יֶעְבְּרוּן דִי לָא יְתוּבוּן לְמֶחְפֵּי אַרְעָא:
You have placed a boundaryfor the waves of the seathat they will not cross,lestthey return to cover the earth.
דִי מְשַׁלַח מַעֲיָנֵי בְּנַהֲרוּתָא בֵּינֵי טוּרַיָא מְהַלְכִין:
Who releases springs into rivers; they flow between the mountains.
מַשְׁקִין כָּל חֵיוַת בָּרָא יִתְבְּרוּן עֲרוֹדַיָא צָחוּתְהוֹן:
They water all the wild animals; the asses will break their thirst.
עִלַוֵיהוֹן צִפְּרֵי שְׁמַיָא יִשְׁרוּן מִבֵּינֵי זָאַזְיָא יִתְּנוּ קָל זְמָר:
The birds of heaven will settle on them; they will give out a soundof singingfrom among the branches.
דְמַשְׁקֵי טוּרַיָא מִן בֵּית גִנְזֵי עִלָאִי דִי לֵיהּ מִן עוֹבָדָיִךְ תִּשְׂבַּע אַרְעָא:
Whowaters the mountains from hisupper treasury;the earth will be satisfied with the fruit of your deeds.
דִמְרַכֵּי עִסְבָּא לִבְעִירֵי וְיַרְקֵי לְפוּלְחָנָא דְבַר נָשָׁא לְמִפַּק לַחְמָא מִן אַרְעָא:
Whomakes grass grow for beasts, and herbs for the cultivation ofthe son ofman, that bread may come forth from the earth;
וְחַמְרָא דְמֶחְדֵי לִבָּא דְבַר נָשָׁא לְאַנְהָרָא אַפַּיָא מִן מִשְׁחָא וְלַחְמָא לִבָּא דְבַר נָשָׁא יִסְעָד:
And winethatgladdens the heart ofthe son ofman, to make the face shine by oil; and bread will support the heart ofthe son ofman.
שָׂבְעִין אִילָנַיָא דִי בְרָא יְיָ אַרְזֵי לִבְנָן דִי נְצִיב:
דִי תַמָן צִפְּרַיָא עָבְדִין שַׁרְכְּפִין וָוְתָא בְרָאתִי בֵּית מְדוֹרָה:
Where the birds make nests; the stork’s dwelling is in the cypresses.
טוּרַיָא רָמַיָא לְיַעֲלֵי כֵּיפֵי רוּחֲצָן לְטַפְזַיָא:
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are security for the conies.
עֲבַד סִיהֲרָא לְמִימְנֵי בֵיהּ זִמְנַיָא שִׁמְשָׁא יָדַע עִידָן טְמוֹעֵיהּ:
He made the moonto calculatetimesby; the sun knows the time ofhis setting.
תְּשַׁוֵי חֲשׁוֹךְ וַהֲוֵי לֵילְיָא בֵּיהּ רָחֲשִׁין כָּל חֵיוַת חוּרְשָׁא:
You will make darkness and it will be night; in it all the beasts of the forest creep about.
בְּנֵי אַרְיְוָן אָכְלִין לְמִשְׁכַּח מְזוֹנָא וּלְמִבְעֵי מִן אֱלָהָא מֵיכַלְהוֹן:
Theoffspring oflions roarto findfood, and to seek their sustenance from God.
תִּדְנַח שִׁמְשָׁא מִתְכַּנְשִׁין וּלְבֵית מְדוֹרְהוֹן רָבְעִין:
The sun will shine, they gather together; and they lay down in their dwelling place.
יִפּוֹק בַּר נָשָׁא לְעוֹבָדֵיהּ וּלְפוּלְחָנֵיהּ עַד עֵרוּבֵי רַמְשָׁא:
Ason ofman will go forth to his work and to his cultivation, untilthe sunset ofevening.
מָה סַגִיעִין הִנוּן עוֹבָדָךְ יְיָ כּוּלְהוֹן בְּחוּכְמְתָא עֲבַדְתָּא מַלְיָא אַרְעָא קִנְיָנָךְ:
How many are your works, O LORD! You have made all of them in wisdom; the earth is full of your possessions.
דְנָן יַמָא רַבָּא וּפְתַי תְּחוּמוֹן תַּמָן רִיחֲשָׁא וְלֵית מִנְיָן חֵיוָתָא זְעֵירְתָא עִם רַבְרְבָתָא:
This sea is great and broad in extent; creeping things are there without number, both tiny creatures and large.
תַּמָן אִלְפַיָא אָזְלִין לִוְיָתָן דֵין בָּרֵיתָא לְמִגְחַךְ בֵּיהּ לְצַדִיקַיָא בִּסְעוּדַת בֵּית מְדוֹרֵיהּ:
There the ships go about,andthis Leviathan you created for the sportof the righteous at the supper of his dwelling place.
כּוּלְהוֹן עֲלָךְ סְבִירִין לְמִתַּן מְזוֹנְהוֹן בְּזִמְנֵיהּ:
All of them rely on you to give their food in its time.
תִּתֵּן לְהוֹן וְכָנְשִׁין תִּפְתַּח אַיְדָךְ וְשָׂבְעִין טָבָא:
You will give it to them,andthey gather it; you will open your hand,andthey are satisfied with goodness.
תְּסַלֵּק שְׁכִנְתָּךְ מִתְבַּהֲלִין תִּכְנוֹשׁ רוּחֲהוֹן מִתְנַגְדִין וּלְוַת עֲפַרְהוֹן תָיְבִין:
You willremove your presence,they are dazed; you will gather their spiritandthey expire, and return to their dust.
תְּשַׁלַח רוּחַ קוּדְשָׁךְ מִתְבַּרְיָן וּתְחַדֵת אַפֵּי אַרְעָא:
You will send out yourholyspiritandthey are created; and you will make new the surface of the earth.
יְהֵי אַיְקָר יְיָ לַעֲלַם יֶחֱדֵי יְיָ בְּעוֹבָדוֹי:
May the glory of the LORD be eternal; the LORD will rejoice in his works.
דְמִסְתַּכֵּל לְאַרְעָא וּמִתְרַגְפָא מְקָרֵב בְּטוּרַיָא וּמַסְקִין תְּנָנָא:
Who looks at the earth, and it shakes; he draws near to the mountains, and theyemitsmoke.
אֲשַׁבַּח קֳדָם יְיָ בְּחַיַי אֲזַמֵר לֵאלָהַי בְּעוֹד אִיתַי:
I will sing praise in the presence of the LORD during my life; I will make music to my God while I exist.
יִבְסַם קֳדָמוֹי שׁוּתִי אֲנָא אֶחְדֵי בְּמֵימְרָא דַיָי:
May my talk be pleasing in his presence; I will rejoice inthe word ofthe LORD.
יִשְׁתֵּיצוּן חַטָאַיָא מִן אַרְעָא וּרְשִׁיעַיָא תּוּב לֵיתֵיהוֹן בָּרִיכִי נַפְשִׁי יַת שְׁמָא דַייָ הַלְלוּיָהּ:
The sinners will be destroyed from the earth, and wicked exist no longer. Bless, O my soul,the name ofthe LORD. Hallelujah!
