לְשַׁבָּחָא בִּנְגִינָתָא עַל כִּנָרָא דִתְמַנְיָא נֵימַיָא תּוּשְׁבַּחְתָּא לְדָוִד:
For praise; with melodies on the harp of eight strings. A hymn of David.
יְיָ לָא בְּרוּגְזָךְ תַּכְנִיעֵנִי וְלָא בְּרִתְחָךְ תִּרְדֵי יָתִי:
O LORD, do not humble¹⁶ me in your anger; and do not punish me in your wrath.

חוּס עֲלַי יְיָ מְטוּל דְחַלָשׁ אֲנָא אַסִי יָתִי יְיָ מְטוּל דְאִתְבְּהִילוּ גַרְמָי:
Pity me, O LORD,¹⁷ for I am weak; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are terrified.

וְנַפְשִׁי אִתְבְּהִילַת לַחֲדָא וְאַנְתְּ יְיָ עַד אֵימָתַי רְוַח לִי:
And my soul is greatly terrified; and you, O LORD, when will you give me relief?
תּוּב יְיָ פְּצֵי נַפְשִׁי פְּרַק לִי בִּגְלַל טוּבָךְ:
Turn, O LORD, save my soul, redeem me for the sake of your goodness.
מְטוּל דְלֵית בְּמוֹתָא דָכְרָנָךְ בִּשְׁאוֹל מַן יוֹדֵי לָךְ:
For there is no memory of you in death; in Sheol who will give you thanks?
אֶשְׁתַּלְהֵית בְּתִנְחָתִי אֲמַלֵל בְּצַעֲרִי בְּכָל לֵילְיָא עַל שִׁווּיִי בְדִמְעֲתִי דַרְגָשִׁי אַטְמֵשׁ:
I am wearied with my groaning; I will speak¹⁸ in my sorrow every night on my bed; I will drown my couch with my tears.

חַשְׁכַת מִן רוּגְזִי עַיְינַי אִתְבְּלִיאַת בְּכָל מְעִיקָי:
My eye is dark from my trouble; it is worn out by all my oppressors.¹⁹

זוּרוּ מִינִי כָּל עָבְדֵי שְׁקַר אֲרוּם שְׁמִיעַ קֳדָם יְיָ קָל בָּכוּתִי:
Leave me, all doers of falsehood; for the LORD has heard²⁰ the sound of my weeping.

שְׁמִיעַ קֳדָם יְיָ בָּעוּתִי יְיָ צְלוֹתִי יְקַבֵּל:

יִבְהֲתוּן וְיִתְבַּהֲלוּן לַחֲדָא כּוּלְהוֹן בַעֲלֵי דְבָבִי יְתוּבוּן יִבְהֲתוֹן כְּשָׁעָא:
All of my enemies will be ashamed and very afraid; they will turn and be ashamed in an instant.
