לְשַׁבָּחָא עַל מִיתוֹתָא דְגַבְרָא דִי נְפַק מִבֵּנֵי מַשִׁרְיָתָא תּוּשְׁבַּחְתָּא לְדָוִד:
For praise, concerning the death of the man²⁷ who went out between the armies.¹ A hymn of David.

אֲשַׁבַּח קֳדָם יְיָ בְּכָל לִבִּי אֶשְׁתָּעֵי כּוּלְהוֹן פְּרִישְׁוָתָךְ:
I will sing praise in the LORD's presence with all my heart; I will tell all of your miracles.
אֶחְדֵי וְאֶבְדָח בְּמֵימְרָךְ אֲשַׁבַּח שְׁמָךְ עִלָאָה:
I will be glad and rejoice in your word; I will praise your name, O Most High.
בִּדְיְתוּב בְּעֵל דְבָבֵי לַאֲחוֹרָא יִתְקְלוּן וִיהוֹבְדוּן מִן קֳדָמָךְ:
When my enemies turn back, they will stumble and perish before you.
מְטוּל דַעֲבַדְתָּא פּוּרְעֲנוּתִי וְדִינִי יְתֵבְתָּא עַל כּוּרְסֵי דַיָנָא זַכָּאָה:
Because you have accomplished my vindication and my judgment; you sat down on the throne of the righteous judge.
נְזַפְתָּא עַמְמֵי דִפְלִשְׁתָּאֵי הוֹבַדְתָּא גָלְיַת רַשִׁיעָא שׁוּמְהוֹן מְחִיתָא לְעַלְמֵי עָלְמִין:
You rebuked the peoples of the Philistines; you destroyed Goliath the wicked; their name you erased forever and ever.
וְכַד נְפַל בְּעֵל דְבָבָא אִשְׁתֵּצָיוּ חֶלְוָתֵיהּ וּכְרַכֵּיהוֹן אִצְתַּדְיוּ לְעַלְמָא וְקִרְוֵיהוֹן צְדִיתָא הוֹבַדְתָּא דָכְרָנְהוֹן מִנְהוֹן:
And when the enemy fell, his forces were obliterated, and their fortresses were laid waste forever, and as for their cities, you destroyed the memory of them forever.
וּמֵימְרָא דַייָ לְעַלְמִין מוֹתְבֵיהּ בִּשְׁמֵי מְרוֹמָא תַקִין לְדִינָא כּוּרְסֵיהּ:
But as for the word of the LORD, his seat is in the highest heaven forever; he has established his throne for judgment.
וְהוּא יְדֵין עַמָא דְאַרְעָא בִּזְכוּתָא יְדִין עַמְמַיָא בִּתְרִיצוּתָא:
And he shall judge the people of the earth in righteousness; he will judge the Gentiles in uprightness.
וִיהֵי מֵימְרָא דַייָ תְּקוֹף לְמַסְכְּנָא תְּקוֹף בְּעִדָנֵי עַקְתָא:
And the word of the LORD will be strength to the poor, strength in times of distress.
וְיִסְתַּכְּלוּן בְּסַבָּרוּתָךְ יָדְעֵי שְׁמָךְ מְטוּל דְלָא שְׁבַקְתָּא תָּבְעָיִךְ יְיָ:
And those who know your name will look at²⁸ your hope²⁹, because you have not abandoned those who seek you, O LORD.

שַׁבַּחוּ קֳדָם יְיָ דְאַשְׁרֵי שְׁכִנְתֵּיהּ בְּצִיוֹן תַּנִיאוּ בְּעַמְמַיָא עוֹבָדוֹי:
Sing praise before the Lord who made his presence rest in Zion; tell his deeds among the Gentiles.
מְטוּל דְתָבֵיעַ דְמָא דְזַכָּאָה יַת צַדִיקַיָא דְכִיר וְלָא שְׁלִי קְבֵלַת עִנְוְתָנִין:
For he avenges the innocent blood; he remembers the righteous, he does not neglect³⁰ the complaint of the humble.

חוּס עֲלַי יְיָ חֲמֵי סִגוּפִי מִבַּעֲלֵי דְבָבִי מְרוֹמֵם לִי מִמַעֲלָנֵי מוֹתָא:
Pity me, O LORD; see my pain caused by my enemies³¹, you who lift me up from the entrances of death.

מִן בִּגְלַל דְאִשְׁתָּעֵי לְכוּלְהוֹן שִׁבְחָתָךְ בְּמַעֲלָנֵי תַרְעֵי כְנִישַׁת צִיוֹן אַדוּץ בְּפוּרְקָנָךְ:
So that I may tell all your praises³² in the entrances of the gates of the assembly of Zion; I will exult in your redemption.

טְבַעוּ עַמְמַיָא בְּשׁוּחֲתָא דַעֲבָדוּ בִּמְצַדְתָּא דְנָא כְּמַנוּ אִתְאֲחַדַת רִגְלֵיהוֹן:
The peoples have sunk in the pit that they made; in the very net they concealed, their feet are caught.
גְלֵי קֳדָם יְיָ דִין דַעֲבַד בְּעוֹבָדֵי אַיְדוֹי אִתְּקַל רַשִׁיעָא יְרַנְנוּן צַדִיקַיָא לְעָלְמִין:
Manifest before the LORD is the judgement he executed: through the works of his hands,³³ or he executed on the works of his hands.the righteous will rejoice forever.

יְתוּבוּן רַשִׁיעֵי לִשְׁיוֹל כּוּלְהוֹן עַמְמַיָא דְאַשְׁלִיוּ דְחַלְתָּא דַיְיָ:
The wicked will return to Sheol, all the Gentiles who neglected³⁴ the fear of the LORD.

For the needy man is not forever neglected;³⁵ the hope of the humble will not perish forever.

קוּם יְיָ לָא יִתְעַשַׁן בַּר נָשָׁא רַשִׁיעָא יִתְדָנוּן עַמְמַיָא קֳדָמָךְ:
Arise, O LORD, may the wicked son of man not grow strong, may the Gentiles be judged in your presence.
שַׁוִי יְיָ דְחַלְתָּא לְהוֹן יִנְדְעוּן עַמְמַיָא דְבַר נָשׁ הִינוּן לְעָלְמִין:
Put, O LORD, fear on them; let the peoples know that they are a son of man forever.
