During the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day of the month, when the king’s directive and bylaw were to be put in effect; on the very day when the enemies of the Yehudim anticipated that they would subdue them—it was totally reversed, for they׀the Yehudim׀subdued their enemies.
Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king’s commandment and his decree drew near to be put into execution, on the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over those who hated them;)
And on the twelfth month, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day therein, on the day that the king's edict and his ordinance came into effect, on the day that the foes of the Jews hoped to prevail against them, and it was overturned, the Jews prevailing against their foes,

The Yehudim assembled in their colonies througout all of King Achashverosh’s colonies to assault those who sought their harm, and no man resisted them, for their awesomeness had descended over all the peoples.
the Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Aĥashverosh, to lay hands on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all the peoples.

All of the colonial ministers, envoys, and governors, and the imperial executive staff, exalted the Yehudim, as Mordechai’s awesomeness had descended over them.
And all the rulers of the provinces, and the satraps, and the governors, and the royal officials, supported the Jews; because the fear of Mordokhay had fallen upon them.

The king said to Queen Esther, “In the capital city of Shushan, the Yehudim killed and annihilated five hundren men, and Haman’s ten sons, so in the remaining territories of the king, [imagine] what they have done. And the king said to Ester the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the capital, and also the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what more dost thou request? and it shall be done.
And the king said to Queen Esther: In Shushan the capital, the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men and the ten sons of Haman. In the other provinces of the king, what did they do? Now, what is your petition, and it will be granted you; and what, further, is your request, and it will be done.

Esther replied, “If his majesty deems it proper, then let tomorrow, too, be granted to the Yehudim who are in Shushan, to act in accordance with today’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be hung from a gallows.”
Then Ester said, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews who are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according to this day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
And Esther said to the king: If it pleases the king, let the morrow also be given to the Jews in Shushan to do according to the ordinance of this day, and let the ten [(slain)] sons of Haman be strung up on the gallows.

The Yehudim who were in Shushan assembled also on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and killed, in Shushan, three hundren men, but they did not lay their hand on the spoils.
For the Jews who were in Shushan gathered themselves together also on the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but they did not lay their hands on the plunder.
And the Jews who were in Shushan also congregated on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and they killed in Shushan three hundred men, and they did not stretch forth their hands to the spoils.

Now the remaining Yehudim who were in the king’s colonies assembled and stood in defense of their lives, bringing deliverance from their enemies killing seventy-five thousand of their antagonists. But they did not lay their hands on the spoils.
But the other Jews who were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood up for themselves, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy five thousand, (but they did not lay their hands on the plunder,)
And the remainder of the Jews, which were in the king's provinces, congregated and stood up for their lives, and gained respite of their foes, and killed of their enemies seventy-five thousand, and they did not stretch forth their hands to the spoils,
But the other ✡️ who were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood up for themselves, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy 5️⃣ thousand, (but they did not lay their ✋ on the plunder,)

[The victory was] on the thirteenth day of the month of Adar, while the deliverance was realized on the fourteenth of the month, making it a day of feasting and rejoicing.
on the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
on the thirteenth day of the month of Adar, achieving respite on the fourteenth day thereof, and they made it a day of feasting and joy.
on the thirteenth day of the 🌜 Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Whereas the Yehudim who were in Shushan assembled on the thirteenth and on the fourteenth of the month, and realized deliverance on the fifteenth of the month, making it a day of feasting and rejoicing.
But the Jews who were at Shushan gathered together on the thirteenth of the month, and on the fourteenth of it; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
And the Jews who were in Shushan congregated on the thirteenth day thereof and on the fourteenth day thereof, achieving respite on the fifteenth day, which they made a day of feasting and joy.
But the ✡️ who were at Shushan gathered together on the thirteenth of the 🌜, and on the fourteenth of it; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

For this reason,“unwalled” Yehudim—those who reside in unwalled cities—observe the fourteenth day of the month of Adar [as a day of] feasting, rejoicing, and a day of celebration, sending gifts of food to one another.
Therefore the Jews of the villages, who dwell in the unwalled towns, make the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and holiday, and of sending choice portions to one another.
Therefore, the Jews of the outlying towns, those who live in the unwalled cities, celebrate the fourteenth day of the month of Adar with joy and feasting and festivity, and with the sending of portions one to another [(and those who live in cities walled from the days of Joshua the son of Nun, like Shushan, celebrate the fifteenth day.)]
Therefore the ✡️ of the villages, who dwell in the unwalled towns, make the fourteenth day of the 🌜 Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and holiday, and of sending choice portions to 1️⃣ another.

Mordechai wrote of these matters, and dispatched scrolls to all the Yehudim in all of King Achashverosh’s colonies, those nearby and those distant.
And Mordokhay wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews who were in all the provinces of the king Aĥashverosh, both near and far,
And Mordecai wrote these things [(this Megillah, as it is,)], and he sent letters to all the provinces of King Achashverosh, the near and the far,
And 👳🏽♂️ ✍️ these things, and sent 📜 to all the ✡️ who were in all the provinces of the king 🤴🏽, both near and far,

Corresponding with the days when the Yehudim realized deliverance from their antagonists, and the month which had been transformed for them, from one of anguish to rejoicing, from grief to days of celebration; to observe them as days of feasting and rejoicing, sending gifts of food to one another, and gifts to the poor.
as the days on which the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned to them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning to holiday: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending choice portions to one another, and gifts to the poor.
as the days in which the Jews gained respite from their foes, and the month which was transformed for them from sorrow to joy, from mourning to festivity, to celebrate them as days of feasting and joy, and the sending of portions one to another and gifts to the poor.
as the days on which the ✡️ rested from their enemies, and the 🌜 which was 🙃 from 😰 to 😄, and from mourning to holiday: that they should make them days of feasting and 😄, and of sending choice portions to 1️⃣ another, and 🎁 to the poor.

The Yehudim accepted, as binding, the observances that they had begun, and those that Mordechai had mandated in his letter to them.
And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordokhay had written to them;
And the Jews accepted what they had begun to do and what Mordecai had written to them.

For Haman, the son of Hamdasa, the Agagite, oppressor of all the Yehudim, thought that he would annihilate the Yehudim. He cast a pur, meaning “lot,” to terrorize, then annihilate them.
because Haman the son of Hammedata, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had schemed against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, (that is, the lot,) to consume them, and to destroy them;
For Haman the son of Hamdatha, the Agagite, oppressor of the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them, and he had cast pur, the lot, in order to confound them and destroy them.
because 👺 the son of Hammedata, the Agagite, the enemy of all the ✡️, had schemed against the ✡️ to destroy them, and had cast 🗳️, (that is, the lot,) to consume them, and to destroy them;
But when she came before the king, he directed, in writing, that the evil scheme which he intended for the Yehudim rebound against his own head, and they hung him and his sons from a gallows.
but when Ester came before the king, he gave orders in writing that his wicked scheme, which he had devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
And when she [(Esther)] came before the king [(to plead with him)], he said [(and he commanded)] with the letter [i.e., that letters be written to that effect], that his evil scheme which he plotted against the Jews be turned back upon his head; and they hanged him and his sons upon the gallows.
but when 👸🏽 came before the king, he gave orders in 📝 that his wicked 🤔, which he had devised against the ✡️, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

For this reason, these days are entitled purim, because of the lottery. [They are celebrated] for this reason—because of all that is narrated in this letter. [This letter records] why they saw fit to act in such a way, and what happened to them as a result.
Therefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore because of all the words of this letter, and of what they had seen concerning this matter, and what had befallen them,
Therefore, they called these days "Purim," because of the "pur" [the lot]. Therefore, because of all that is written in this letter [(these days were set aside and what occurred in them recorded for future generations)], and what they [(the protagonists)] saw, to [do] this [i.e., to act as they did], and what transpired with them [(as the result of their acts)].
Therefore they 🗣️ these days Purim after the name of 🗳️. Therefore because of all the words of this 📜, and of what they had 👀 concerning this matter, and what had befallen them,

The Yehudim resolved׀accepting as binding—for themselves, their progeny, and anyone associated with them, never to be changed, that they would observe these two days, as written, and at the proper time each year.
the Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all who joined themselves to them, that they should unfailingly keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
The Jews fulfilled and they accepted upon themselves and upon their seed, and upon all those who joined them [(to be proselytized)] — not to be passed over — to celebrate these two days, according to their writing [Ashurith (Hebrew script)] and according to their time, each and every year.
the ✡️ ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all who joined themselves to them, that they should unfailingly keep these two days according to their 📝, and according to their appointed 🕰️ every year;
