The sons of Yehuda; ῾Er, and Onan, and Shela: which three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Kena῾anite woman. And ῾Er, the firstborn of Yehuda, was evil in the sight of the Lord; and he slew him.

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah. Three were born to him of the daughter of Shua, the Canaanite. And Er, the first-born of Judah was evil in the eyes of the L-rd [viz. Rashi on Genesis 38:7], and He killed him.

And Tamar his daughter in law bore him Pereż and Zeraĥ. All the sons of Yehuda were five.

And Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore to him Peretz and Zarach. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of Pereż; Ḥeżron, and Ḥamul.

The sons of Peretz: Chetzron and Chamul.

And the sons of Zeraĥ; Zimri, and Etan, and Heman, and Kalkol, and Dare: five of them in all.

And the sons of Zerach: Zimri and Eithan and Heiman and Chalkol and Dara, five in all.

And the sons of Karmi; ῾Akhar, the troubler of Yisra᾽el, who transgressed in the devoted property.

And the sons of Karmi [(the son of Zimri)]: Achar, the sullier of Israel, who was faithless with the consecrated thing [viz. Joshua 7].

And the sons of Etan; ῾Azarya.

And the sons of Eithan: Azaryah.

And the sons of Ḥeżron, that were born to him; Yeraĥme᾽el, and Ram, and Keluvay.

And the sons of Chetzron, who were born to him: Yerachme'el, Ram, and Kluvai.

And Ram begot ῾Amminadav; and ῾Amminadav begot Naĥshon, prince of the children of Yehuda;

And Ram begot Aminadav, and Aminadav begot Nachshon, the prince of the children of Judah.

and Naĥshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Bo῾az,

And Nachshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Boaz.

and Bo῾az begot ῾Oved, and ῾Oved begot Yishay,

And Boaz begot Oved, and Oved begot Yishai.

and Ishay begot his firstborn Eli᾽av, and Avinadav the second, and Shim῾a the third,

And Ishai begot his first-born, Eliav, and Avinadav, the second, and Shima, the third.

Netan᾽el the fourth, Radday the fifth,

Nethanel, the fourth, Radai, the fifth,

Ożem the sixth, David the seventh:

Otzem, the sixth, David, the seventh.

whose sisters were Żeruya, and Avigayil. And the sons of Żeruya; Avshay, and Yo᾽av, and Asa᾽el; three.

And their sisters: Tzeruyah and Avigayil. And the sons of Tzeruyah: Avshai, and Yoav, and Asa'el, three.

And Avigayil bore ῾Amasa: and the father of ῾Amasa was Yeter the Yishme῾elite.

And Avigayil bore Amassa. And the father of Amassa was Yether the Ishmaelite.

And Kalev the son of Ḥeżron, begot children by ῾Azuva his wife, and by Yeri῾ot: her sons are these; Yesher, and Shovav, and Ardon.

And Calev the son of Chetzron begot Azuvah-Ishah and Yerioth. And these are her [(Azuvah-Ishah's)] sons: Yosher and Shovav and Ardon.

And when ῾Azuva was dead, Kalev took to him Efrat, who bore him Ḥur.

And Azuvah died, and Calev took Ephrath for himself, and she bore Chur to him.

And Ḥur begot Uri, and Uri begot Beżal᾽el.

And Chur begot Uri, and Uri begot Betzalel.

And afterwards Ḥeżron went in to the daughter of Makhir the father of Gil῾ad, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Seguv.

And afterwards, Chetzron came to the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and took her. And she was sixty years old, and she bore Seguv to him.

And Seguv begot Ya᾽ir, who had twenty three cities in the land of Gil῾ad.

And Seguv begot Yair, and he had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with Ḥavvot-ya᾽ir, from them, with Qenat, and its hamlets, sixty cities. All these belonged to the sons of Makhir the father of Gil῾ad.

And Geshur and Aram took Chavoth Yair from them, Kenath and its villages. All these (belonged to) the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

And after Ḥeżron had died in Kalev-efrata, then Aviyya, Ḥeżron’s wife bore him Ashĥur the father of Teqoa.

And after the death of Chetzron, when Calev [his son took] Efrath, the wife of Chetzron, Aviyah, bore him Ashchur, the father of Tekoa.

And the sons of Yeraĥme᾽el the firstborn of Ḥeżron were, Ram the firstborn, and Buna, and Oren, and Ożem, and Aĥiyya.

Yeraĥme᾽el had also another wife, whose name was ῾Atara; she was the mother of Onam.

And the sons of Yerachmel had another wife, whose name was Atarah. She was the mother of Onam.

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Yeraĥme᾽el were, Ma῾aż, and Yamin, and E῾qer.

And the sons of Ram, the fist-born of Yerachmel: Ma'atz and Yamin and Eker.

And the sons of Onam were, Shammay, and Yada. And the sons of Shammay; Nadav, and Avishur.

And the sons of Onam: Shammai and Yada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadav and Avishur.

And the name of the wife of Avishur was Aviĥayil, and she bore him Aĥban, and Molid.

And the name of the wife of Avishur was Avichayil. And she bore him Achban and Molid.

And the sons of Nadav; Seled, and Appayim; but Seled died without children.

And the sons of Nadav: Seled and Appayim. And Seled died without sons.

And the sons of Appayim; Yish῾i, And the sons of Yish῾i; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Aĥlay.

And the sons of Appayim: Yish'i. And the sons of Yish'i: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Achlai.

And the sons of Yada the brother of Shammay; Yeter, and Yonatan: and Yeter died without children.

And the sons of Yada, the brother of Shammai: Yether and Yonathan. And Yether died without sons.

And the sons of Yonatan; Pelet, and Zaza. These were the sons of Yeraĥme᾽el.

And the sons of Yonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Yerachmel.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters. And Sheshan had a slave, a Miżrian, whose name was Yarĥa.

And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian slave whose name was Yarcha.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Yarĥa his slave to wife; and she bore him ῾Attay.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Yarcha his slave as a wife, and she bore him Attai.

And ῾Attay begot Natan, and Natan begot Zavad.

And Attai begot Nathan. And Nathan begot Zavad.

and Zavad begot Eflal, and Eflal begot ῾Oved,

And Zavad begot Eflal. And Eflal begot Oved.

and ῾Oved begot Yehu, and Yehu begot ῾Azarya,

And Oved begot Yehu. And Yehu begot Azaryah.

and ῾Azarya begot Ḥeleż, and Ḥeleż begot El῾asa,

And Azaryah begot Chaletz. And Cheletz begot Elassah.

and El῾asa begot Sismay, and Sismay begot Shallum,

And Elassa begot Sismi. And Sismi begot Shalum.

and Shallum begot Yeqamya, and Yeqamya begot Elishama.

And Shalum begot Yekamyah. And Yekamyah begot Elishama.

Now the sons of Kalev the brother of Yeraĥme᾽el were, Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Zif; and the sons of Maresha the father of Ḥevron.

And the sons of Calev the brother of Yerachmel: Mesha, his first-born. He was the father of Ziph. And the sons [of Ziph:] Maresha, the father of Chevron.

And the sons of Ḥevron; Qoraĥ, and Tappuaĥ, and Reqem, and Shema.

And the sons of Chevron: Korach and Tappuach and Rekem and Shama.

And Shema begot Raĥam, the father of Yorqe῾am: and Reqem begot Shammay.

And Shema begot Racham, the father of Yarke'am. And Rekem begot Shammai.

And the son of Shammay was Ma῾on: and Ma῾on was the father of Bet-żur.

And the son of Shammai: Maon. And Maon was the father of Beth-Tzur.

And ῾Efa, Kalev’s concubine, bore Ḥaran, and Moża, and Gazez: and Ḥaran begot Gazez.

And Eifah, the concubine of Calev, bore Charan and Motza and Gazez.

And the sons of Yohday; Regem, and Yotam, and Geshan, and Pelet, and ῾Efa, and Sha῾af.

And the sons of Yehdai [(one of the above sons of Calev)]: Regem and Yotham and Geshan and Phalet and Eifah and Sha'af.

Ma῾akha, Kalev’s concubine, bore Shever, and Tirĥana.

[By this] concubine Ma'achah, Calev begot Shever and Tirchanah.

She bore also Sha῾af the father of Madmanna, Sheva the father of Makhbena, and the father of Giv῾a: and the daughter of Kalev was ῾Akhsa.

And she bore Sha'af, the father of Madmanah, Sheva, the father of Machbena and the father of Giv'a. And the daughter of Calev was Achsah.

These were the sons of Kalev the son of Ḥur, the firstborn of Efrata; Shoval the father of Qiryat-ye῾arim,

These were the sons of Calev, the son of Chur, the first-born of Efrathah: Shoval, the father of Kiryath-Yearim.

Salma the father of Bet-leĥem, Ḥaref the father of Bet-gader.

Salma the father of Beth-Lachem, Charef, the father of Beth-Gader.

And Shoval the father of Qiryat-ye῾arim had sons; Haro᾽e, and half of the Menuĥot.

And there were sons to Shoval, the father of Kiryath-Yearim, who ruled over half the Menuchoth.

And the families of Qiryat-ye῾arim; the Yitri, and the Puti, and the Shumati, and the Mishra῾i; of them came the Żor῾ati, and the Eshta᾽uli.

And the families of Kiryath-Yearim: the Yithri, the Puthi, the Shumathi, the Mishra'i. From these issued the Tzarathi and the Eshtauli.

The sons of Salma; Bet-leĥem, and the Netofati, ῾Atrot-bet-yo᾽av, and half the Manaĥti, and the Żor’i.

The sons of Salma [inhabited] Bethlehem and Netofoth (and) half of Atroth-beth-Yoav; and half the (province of the) Manachti [was taken over by] the Tzar'i.

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Ya῾beż; the Tir῾atim, the Shim῾atim, the Sukhatim. These are the Qinim who came of Ḥamat, the father of the house of Rekhav.

And the families of scribes, the company of Yabetz [viz. 4:9]: Tirathim, Shimathim, Suchathim. They are the Kinites, who descended from Chamath, the father of the house of Rechav.
