It is fitting that students of Torah know the future. This is as it is written (Psalms 119:152), “KeDeM (Of old) I gained kn o wledge”—I gained knowledge me’KoDeM (in advance) of what will be. From where? “From Your testimonies”—i.e., from the Torah.
