ולפעמים נכפל הפעל מפני שהוראת הפעל השני משונה מן הראשון.
And sometimes the verb is repeated, in order to teach that the second verb is different than the first:
כמו במה שכתוב "כל האוכל יטמא וכל משקה יטמא" שכל אחד טומאתו משונה. (שמיני ס' קלח).
As when it is written, כל האוכל...יטמא וכל משקה...יטמא (All food therein which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink in every such vessel that may be drunk shall be unclean)³⁴⁴, it means that each uncleanness is different.

וכפל פעל ונעלם על העלם קודש והעלם מקדש. (ויקרא ס' שג)
And it repeats the verb ונעלם (hidden)³⁴⁵ to differentiate between it being hidden from him that he was unclean and it being hidden from him that he entered the sanctuary.

And it repeats וצוה הכהן (And the priest shall command)³⁴⁶ to teach that the second imperative will be precisely for the priest.
