ויש הבדל בין "ביום אחד" ובין "ביום ההוא". "ביום ההוא" היינו היום עם הלילה שאחריו, ו"ביום אחד" הוא דוקא יום ולילה שלפניו כמו במעשה בראשית. (אמור ס' קלד).
There is a difference between ביום אחד (in one day)⁶⁰⁶ and ביום ההוא (on the same day)⁶⁰⁷. ביום ההוא means the day with the night coming afterwards, while ביום אחד is precisely the day and the night that was before it, as it was when the world was created.

וכל מקום שאמר "ממחרת" הוא דוקא היום שלאחריו ואין הלילה בכלל. (צו ס' קטז)
And any place where it says ממחרת (the morrow)⁶⁰⁸, it is precisely the day that is afterwards and not the night at all.
