The language הבדלה (differentiation) applies to similar matters which are distinguished with a tiny difference, and it does not apply to completely separate matters.
ויש הבדל בין "להבדיל" ובין "להורות". שההבדלה היא מצד החושים, וההוראה היא עיונית. (שמיני סי' קעב)

And there is a difference between להבדיל (to distinguish) and להורות (to indicate): להבדיל is from the senses, while להורות is theoretical.
