"קציר" בדיוק היא רק במגל. ועל התולש יאמר [משרש, עוקר]. ועל הכורת השבלים יאמר [מולל, קמל, וכדומה].
קציר (harvesting) in its precise meaning is only with a sickle. And with respect to detachment, it will say משרש and עוקר (uproot). And with respect to cutting off stalks, it will say מולל (crush), קמל (wither), etc.
ובהרחבה יקרא הכל בשם "קציר" (קדושים סימן יב, סימן יד, סימן יז)
And in its broad meaning, the noun קציר refers to all techniques of harvesting.
