בנטיעת האילנות נמצא לשון [נטיעה, זריעה, שתילה]. ויש הבדל ביניהם.
Planting of trees is found with the language נטיעה, זריעה, שתילה (planting), and there is a difference between them:
פעל 'נטע' הונח על שמניח גרעיני הזרע בארץ (אם לא בשמיחס הנטיעה אל העץ)
The verb נטע comes when one places seed in the ground (unless one attaches a sapling to a tree).
ופעל 'זרע' הונח בעצם על הברכת כלאים מין בשאינו מינו
And the verb זרע (sowing) refers to the layering of hybrids of two different species.
ופעל 'שתל' הונח על עץ שעוקרים אותו ממקומו ושותלים אותו במקום אחר (קדושים סימן מט, וסימן נט)
The verb שתל specifies a tree that one uproots from its place and plants in another place.
