It is not the custom of the language to ascribe רפואה (healing) to the wound, but to a human being who is being healed. And when ascribing רפואה to the wound, it means that the person is not yet healed, only that the wound is gone. And when it is written נרפא נגע הצרעת מן הצרוע (if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper)⁷⁵¹, there is no example of this found in the rest of the Scripture – and there is a homiletical interpretation.
